We love the restaurant business and have been partners in multiple Sidelines locations since 2000! We love food, providing customers a great restaurant experience, and making a ton of friends in the process.
We’d been thinking about opening an Italian restaurant for several years, and in 2015 the perfect spot in Lambertville came available and we snapped it up.
And now, we’ve created a fun, accessible and absolutely delicious dining experience… ready to serve you and your family.

Food was so phenomenal. I don’t understand how the prices are so low when the food is so good. I’ve never tried sacchettini before but it was the most delicious thing ever. The complimentary bread is super yummy. Service was really great- the waitresses seemed to help each other out as a team and I had a few stop at our table and I thought that was really professional. I live a bit far away but i would definitely come back again for their food!

Their August drink of the month (something Sunrise; it had Malibu, , & juice in it) was delicious! This is the second time I’ve been here! Got the Grouper with lemon butter sauce and mashed smashed potatoes. Tried the spaghetti this time and linguini last time- those were sub-par & nothing special. The *hot, fresh* breas that you can dumk is the olive oil blens is one of my favorite parts of the meal! That’s a bonus eveytime you visit! We also got the calamari appetizer- the sauce was extremely good and it came with calamari (both baby and larger pieces). The first time the service was great (we had a newer male waiter being trained and he was fantastic!!). The person I was with the second time got lobster mac and they said it was decent. This waitress was okay but she only visited like 3 times the whole meal (the greeting for drinks, second visit being taking our order, and third asking if we wanted a box) but they were busy. Just under $70 both times for two people. Definitely try it if you haven’t!

To go order was good overall for the first time. I just wish they would have waited to drop the calamari closer to pick up time☹️ it was hard as a rock.

The service was great, but the food not so much. The pasta was overcooked, and the décor looked more like a steak house versus an Italian restaurant. So yes unfortunately for me I stick to my 1 star review even though the service was really good.

We loved Sidelines. The food was flavorful and service was excellent. Their garlic bread is amazing. (The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because it was freezing cold in there and the server said she didn’t have access to change it.)

Diner quality food for the price of higher end restaurants. This was my first time here, and also my last time here. They had calamari that had the same texture as rubberbands for $11.00 (I just had calamari cooked to perfection at Weber’s in Ann Arbor for $14.00. I also got more calamari at Weber’s than Sidelines). Sirloin steak for $20.00 that I ordered medium. It came out well done on the outside, but rare in the middle. You can get a better quality steak cooked to perfection for the same price at Texas Roadhouse. One person in our party got a wrong order. They did not remove the charge because “he ate out of it already” (maybe 2 bits was missing). They also overcharged us for a side salad that I got with my steak. Instead of the add on price the menu stated, they charged us the stand alone price. When I notified the waitstaff of this error, they refused to fix the charge. If you have dietary restrictions, don’t come here. As awful the whole experience was, I was shocked at how busy they are.

The lobster bisque was cold, not enough dressing for the salad, lasagna noodles were hard as a rock, not edible. The bread was delicious. The waitress did not come to the table for refills or to see if we needed anything.

We ended up trying something new and had the pleasure of stopping by sidelines Italian. The manager, Mandy, has provided the best service I’ve ever experienced at a restaurant. Not only was she helpful and service was incredible, she packaged up our meal and even topped off the remaining soup. I will be back because of her service and the fantastic food.

My wife and I have sidelines Italian on our favorite list , so we brought 2 other couples with us last evening, I was disappointed and a little embarrassed as I got their expectations high. I ordered my favorite chicken Parmigian the chicken before was always a gracious portion and delicious, this time (3 of us ordered chicken dishes) it was small , chewy, tough, and hard to eat , I had to wash it down. Note to the owners : charge more if you have to and serve better quality chicken , you’re gonna lose customers if it keeps up

The next time I come I’m going to order two bowls of chicken gnocchi soup and a couple of baskets of bread!! Sooooooo good!!! The spaghetti was very good and our waitress was so sweet and attentive!! We will be back soon!!
