It was our first time. We all loved what we got. Food was cooked perfectly, it was hot, portions we large, the food set up on the plates was beautiful. The wait staff were so nice. I gave them the leftover birthday cake I’d made for my Mom’s birthday. They were so sweet and gracious. The building is really coming together.

The atmosphere is the best thing about this restaurant. It’s beautifully decorated. However, for the price point, it’s surprising that there is no hostess/waiting area when you come in, and that the menu comes on a single sheet of paper. I expected to be handed crayons with the menu. Having a small menu is fine if the food is great and it’s presented on a menu board, but the food was merely satisfactory.

My husband, daughter and myself tried this for the first time and not impressed. Actually pretty disappointed. The steaks were grizzly and took forever. The potatoe was half raw and the fries were so salty I couldn’t even eat them.

A group of eight friends recently enjoyed dinner at the Long Bell Steakhouse. We had a great time. First of all, the restaurant is beautiful, and it is wonderful that we can again visit the Monticello. Service by waiter Billy was great. The food was wonderful. Two ordered steaks and they looked delicious but were a little overcooked for the way they were ordered (rare and medium rare). Still, those two customers seemed happy with them. We will be back.

I really enjoyed this place. Best fettuccine I have ever had. Believe me i have eaten it many times at many places and their seafood one is amazing. My friend got the steak that also tried and it was amazing also. The waitress was very kind and the cooks were working hard overall a great experience. The price wasn’t bad either for what we got. My family ate here recently and it was not a great experience. Our food took forever to actually come out of the kitchen. When I got my chicken parmesan the chicken was bland and tasted freezer burned. The noodles were dry and hard even with the sauce. The sauce was delicious though so that’s good! But the garlic bread tasted so bland it had little to no garlic flavor but the texture of the bread was good. My parents enjoyed their steaks which is good since they were the most expensive part of the meal. The fried potato strings on top of their steaks were very stale tasting and cold even though their steaks were really hot. The menu was okay but it didn’t have a lot of choices so as a picky eater it was hard to settle on something. The decor was really nice, however it was really dark inside and I struggled to read the menu. I have astigmatisms so it’s already hard to see in the dark let alone read in the dark. The chairs were okay ish they were pretty comfy. My moms chair had a hole in it and mine had some weird stains. Overall I would not come back. I would only recommend this restaurant if you like steak, if you don’t I wouldn’t go.

My husband and I are the most pickiest eaters. With that said the only complaint I had was the salt on the fries, I forgot to tell them no salt. My husband had the rib eye and I had the NY strip, both were cooked to perfection. We thoroughly enjoyed this place.

That steak was so thin come on a juicy steak is thick it can weigh the same. To get it rare the stake was served cold. My hubby had oysters and they were ok. But if they want to be known as a steakhouse they better up their game. Also the dessert was NOT made in house…Anyone can go to Costco and buy those yukky desserts filled with chemicals to allow them a longer shelf life!

Service was a little slow and they weren’t very busy. Two of our five orders were delayed in coming out (The server said that they were taken by someone else???) Three Prime Rib dinners and only one was served with Au jus and Horse Radish, one was served with Au jus only, and one was served with neither.

Awesome location in the center of town on the Civic Circle. Historic building with all new restaurant inside. Patio seating in good weather, vintage bar for cocktails and NO TVs to distract from the experience. Very nice.
