Its the best mediterranean food I’ve ever had for so long! They have the same exact taste and flavors as in our country! The owner and his staff very friendly and respectful people.

Awesome food! Really delicious food with a lot of possibilities. The plates are large portions, pitas a bit smaller. A little on the pricy side.

Great mujadara, gyro, and chicken schwarma. The hummus was creamy. Solid tzatziki Prices are reasonable. The staff was very nice. I wish the inside had a bit more decor or… anything. Just tables and chairs and bare walls. Would come again, often, if I lived in town.

We split the chicken shawarma and grape leaves (2 adults). I mean look at all those colors! This place is so yummy and quick. A definite spot to hit if your looking for delicious food! Seating outside and inside and food holds well if you take it to go. 10/10

This is a no frills place that serves good and well portioned food at reasonable prices. I have had the beef, gyro and falafel and they are all very good. It’s certainly between a four and five star and I feel a four is too low for the value it serves. The food is fresh and seems to be authentic to its origin. I will say the baklava may not be worth the price but certainly wasn’t bad.

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat after walking about 7 miles over the place. I got a falafel Laffa wrap and it was divine. Soooooo good. The portions are good sized without feeling like I’m going to rupture my stomach trying to clear off my plate. I would 1000% come back here if I lived in Birmingham. Sadly, I live in Huntsville and will only be here for a day.

I went here based on the menu and the reviews. The menu button on Google links to an entirely different restaurant (Sinbad’s), which their menu looks delicious. Yours is VERY basic – but that’s fine if it were good. I have NO idea how you get the best reviews of any restaurant in Birmingham? 4.8, almost 600 reviews? What am I missing? (Paid Reviews?) Got a Gyro Plate – Very skimpy portion (but for the price it was “ok”)…. meat was SO dry, rice was dry. How puts a cup of pickles on top of a Gyro plate? Hummus was very good. 2 half pieces of pita (small pita). This was just pretty sad and I’d try it again to see what I’m missing to all the great reviews, but it was so disappointing not sure I could and drop another $30 on this!?

There’s no doubt about the quality/quantity of the food here…..magnificent in all regards. But I found it to be a particularly interesting place to talk to the workers as well. I don’t know if it’s a family that works it together or not, but the dynamic was great. I am no expert in pronunciation and/or knowledge of this type of fare, and in this regard they were very helpful. No jeers or snarky quips, just helpful and courteous.

Moving here from South Florida, I have struggled to find Mediterranean food of the level I’m used to. This place has it. The falafel is fresh and the perfect combination of crispy outside soft inside. The Hummus is the best I’ve had in years. Seriously, the only issue I have with it is it doesn’t come in 5 gallon buckets. I would swim in it. The shatta is some of the species I’ve ever had (it packs a kick), but so flavorful. I cannot wait to come back to try the shawarma and grape leaves. The BEST Mediterranean food I have had in Birmingham hands down. I guess that makes sense with the man behind the counter also coming to the 205 from the 305. The only star taken away is for atmosphere, and that is simply because it is a no frills, food speaks for itself kind of place. And it is perfect that way.

My mom and I stopped by on a whim craving mediterranean food. We were greeted with smiles and even had wonderful convo prior to ordering. I ordered the falafel plate with lentil rice and baba ganoush. Food was so amazingly flavorful and perfectly cooked I’m pretty sure I danced in my seat with every bite! Oh and the baklava…. heaven in my mouth!! Definitely going back when in town.
