Stopped by today for an impromptu lunch at around 2 pm. Very unique, off the beaten path local pub. I believe the building was 3 row homes gutted and made into one building. Nestled on the corner of 3rd & Spruce in a row home neighborhood near Reading Hospital with available free street parking right outside the pub. Kid friendly. There is adequate outdoor seating with covered awnings. Large indoor pub with some private rooms, seating at the bar, game room with awesome shuffleboard table. Upstairs balcony seating overlooks main eating area.

Ordered cheesesteak & fries for pick up. The girl who handled my order was nice. Service was up to par & food was done on time. Cheesesteak had an off flavor. Definitely wasn’t fresh. It was mushy. Very disappointing. Fries were nothing special. I think the oil needs to be changed. For $18.02 I was expecting awesomeness. Carlos pizzeria restaurant on Penn Ave surprisingly has one of the best cheesesteaks around & reasonably priced. You’re welcome.

After a few years of being out of the area, I returned to the 3rd & Spruce for lunch. Taylor was our server and she was great! We had a party of 5 and she constantly checked on us. The cutting board appetizer was a perfect mix of pickles, sausage, cheese and pretzel bites served with mustard. I ordered the Patty Melt which is normally my “go to”. Ill say it was probably the best I’ve ever had between PA and Florida!

The food was fantastic, filling, and unique for local bar fare. However, the service was less than desirable. We sat at the bar and our waitress only took our order. She did not deliver the food, ask to refill our drinks, or ask how our meals were upon being delivered.

Finally made it over here to give it a try as we live close by. The atmosphere is fun and there’s bar and also tables. There was live music there tonight which was awesome. We were seated right away and our waitress was overall pleasant and quick with the orders. The food was only ok in my opinion. It was really no great shakes but it wasn’t terrible either. The pizza was really not good so definitely don’t waste your money. There was a decent selection of beer so if that’s your thing there’s plenty of local stuff for you. Kids menu was basic. There was a veggie burger on the menu but overall they could use a lot more vegan options as well as healthy and low carb options. If they were to revamp their menu I would consider going back.

First time coming to this place as a Hispanic was horrible. Waitress were walking pass my table 3 times and didn’t take our order, I had t lo call her to ask her who will take my order and with rudest attitude said “I can take it, what do you need”. They were helping everyone but my table. As a Hispanic/Latina I will not come back here if I was looking to have a good time.

Service was friendly. Food was of a higher quality than I was expecting! The ahi tuna bowl was delicious, and the lobster pizza was fantastic! Definitely a fun atmosphere with lots of signature cocktails and craft beers for every palate.

The staff was great as usual but I had to give 2 stars for service because the food took way too long to get served and it wasn’t even busy. Was surprised at that cause because I’ve been there several times and never took almost an hour for our meals to come out.
