My family had been staying in Rochester for three days for a convention of Jehovah’s Witness. We were saving sushi for our last evening in town. We were so glad that we waited. We were very pleased with the immediately great service and attention from our waiter, Shane. His service was amazing all evening. No less amazing was the sushi. We decided to go the all you can eat route. It was a dangerous choice for a sushi lover. Unlike some all-you-can-eat places, the rolls were large and the ingredients were prime. Another plus for Ichi Tokyo was that your orders would be out within a couple of minutes of your order. I don’t know how they made custom sushi rolls in such a short time. We Will definitely return next time we’re in Rochester.

Our waiter, Shane, was one of the best servers I’ve ever had. He was extremely polite, efficient, and knowledgeable. I’ve been to other all-you-can-eat sushi place where they place the food on the table and leave you to figure out what’s what and who ordered it. Shane gave each of us what we ordered and told us what roll it was. The food came out quickly and was delicious.

They’re usually pretty good about their sushi but it’s been off lately. I normally order the same thing almost every other weekend but today I got what looks like a tuna roll made with scraps. Very unappetizing looking and the taste was way off from usual. Look at the salmon roll underneath for comparison. That’s how it normally looks. Kind of offended actually that someone would make my food with the scraps. I couldn’t even stomach it. I think I’m done with sushi for a while. Makes me sad because I used to look forward to ordering on the weekends. Just the other day my girlfriend even found a hair rolled into her California roll. They were nice enough to remake it for us but no apology or anything for the trouble of driving my doordash delivery back to them.

Staff so friendly, helpful, and efficient. Had the Pineapple Mojito and it was on point, refreshing, and wonderfully complimented the menu. We had the Dinner all-you-can eat and it did not disappoint. Food was fresh, tasty and checked all our boxes. It was my birthday and we enjoyed trying all the different things on the menu.
