I’m ALWAYS open to support black owned business. However my experience in my 1st visit was not what I expected when I got ready to eat my food. I ordered chicken and dumplings, which I thought was supposed to have chunks of dumplings, however it was potatoes and maybe a piece of dumpling in it with way too much rice. I was excited about the fact she had chitterlings also, so I ordered a side to see how they were but was charged a full price for a side dish and there weren’t enough to compensate paying the same price I paid for a full dinner. Over charged and disappointed in the end with my 1st and last experience.

I ordered the chicken wing dinner with yams, potato salad , yellow rice and macaroni. I got white instead of yellow, I got beans instead of yams, the chicken was cooked in old grease, the potato salad had no flavor and the Mac had no cheese. I’m disappointed

Very friendly atmosphere.. sweet and kind worker loved that .. but the food im so sorry it wasn’t the greatest !! I wanted to support black business. but I was very disappointed in the food. chicken was fried to hard and it seem like the grease was old .. mac & cheese was ok Green had no flavor it tasted like water .smothered pork chops had to add my own seasoning and the meat was extremely dry … rice was good !! Have to give them 2 ⭐ service exceptional food not so good..

The food was absolutely terrible . The chicken and fries was cooked in old grease . When I got the fries I thought it was seasoned but it was the old grease stuff that be at the bottom of pan from old grease . The potatoes salad was okay but the potatoes was hard . The Mac and cheese you can’t taste no cheese and the yams was not sweet enough . I wanted to support black owned business but with all my family we spent over $100 and nobody was satisfied . I never had fries and chicken in old grease where I thought it was just seasoned . I did enjoy my banana pudding and that was it so I will give it 1 star but I can say the customer service was wonderful And very welcoming but I was happy to support

My grandpa owns this restaurant he’s an amazing chef and always has been and trust I’m not being biased I had the curry goat and it was absolutely amazing with rice and cabbage I will say 10/10 would recommend and the paintings inside are all done by him super pretty

First time ordering from here today and received old chicken. Either it was old or cooked in old grease, very disappointing. Will not be eating from this place again. Whole plate gone to waste. Mac n cheese and greens weren’t edible either..
