Went to eat with the family and waited while they took everyone who got there after us order had to waive them down twice, and by the time we got our appetizer everyone was already gone! Let’s not forget we had our kids both 2 and 3 asking where their food was. The manager and the waitress were walking around cleaning tables and greeted everyone but us and when we asked them how long it would be considering we were there for an hour and only had an appetizer that wasn’t even fresh by no means but still took 30 minutes to come out they said they didn’t know! We finally got our food but they didn’t bring the kids food out so we asked about it and they said it would be out shortly and it never came out! We walked to the front and asked for a refund because we couldn’t eat our food they said no and that we had to pay for everything even tho we didn’t touch it and didn’t even get the rest of our order so if anyone knows how I can get ahold of someone higher so I can get my money back spent 45.00 for 4 sprites and very very upset I’ve managed 3 restaurants in my time and have never experienced such poor service in my life absolutely would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!!!

Serving sizes have become less but still holding higher prices. The sushi chef has changed as well and not as good as it once was. My sushi was warm and covered in sauce. Paying for a meal for 4 people at $140 without leftovers made for a very forgettable birthday meal.

My wife and I really appreciate this place and their dedication to the customer. The food is wonderful and it is quiet enough to dine in peace and relaxation for a change. The service has been other worldly each time we have gone there.

Can I give more stars? This place has awesome food, I love the flavors. Had the ahi tower some sashimi tuna which tasted amazing, how do they get fresh tasting tuna out here? The owner Jenny greets everyone personally and is completely invested in making your visit as best as can be. One of the nicest people you will ever meet.

I was not impressed with the food. The fried shrimp was overcooked. The shrimp dish we got was not good either. We called the restaurant and the owner was supposed to call me. I never got a call.

The atmosphere is great, really quiet. The server was attentive though maybe a bit uninformed about the menu. The food that I had was amazing. I had the sashimi which came on a bed of dressed shredded cucumber. The quality was top notch, the salmon literally melts in your mouth. The miso soup was also quite good. Highly recommend.

Great staff and great food! I’m so happy there is finally a place in Tahlequah to get really good Chinese and Japanese cuisine. Though maybe a bit on the expensive side, the taste and quality of the food more than makes up for it. We got sushi and I can honestly say that I haven’t found another place that gives this many options for sushi AND have this much quality. I will say that from now on we will only be ordering water to drink- $3.87 for a Dr. Pepper seems a little much. But other than that it was fantastic. Also the staff was not entirely sure what everything on the menu was, but I’m hopeful that they will learn quickly. They have only been open a week or two. We will definitely be dining here again.

So I have been coming to August Moon and now Red Moon for 20+ years. The owners are some of the most wonderful hardest working people I know. The food has always been unique and fabulous. Their previous place was small and more for quick in and out food. They have now built a incredible resturant that Tahleuah may not necessarily be ready for or fully appreciate. Is the food more expensive than it was..yes… is it out of line for nice dining and great food, absolutely not. The food quality is still the same and personally I think the portion are larger. You will never leave hungry. They have a separate sushi chef who is top notch. I have eaten and some of the most expensive sushi places in the country and I would put some of there dishes up against them. Great atmosphere, great selection, unique dishes and fabulous sushi! Well done.
