Outstanding and inspired food, made in a tiny shack so all the more impressive. My husband & I are minorly obsessed with this place, but they don’t seem to mind. I would recommend everything I’ve had, but standouts include the Scallop BLT (holy wow), Turkey Smash, Crunch Salad, Cheddar Dip, Crab Cake Sandwich, Shrimp Tacos… I could go on, but you should stop wasting time with this review and just go, your taste buds will become waterfalls of joy.

I don’t write reviews often, but the scallop BLT at Block Party was so good that I can’t stop thinking about it. A brilliant idea, perfectly executed. Easily one of the top 10 sandwiches I’ve had in my life. Plus the staff was super friendly and attentive. I’m tempted to come back to Cape May from Philly just for this sandwich.

I was in Cape May last week with my family for a few days and ate here, at the Ebbitt Room, Washington Inn, Primal, and the raw bar at the Lobster House. We all agreed that Block Party had the best food we ate on the trip. Days later it is the only food I have any real memory of. The baked oysters were better than the oysters we had anywhere else; the black bass sandwich was better than the fish we ate anywhere else; the hanger steak skewers were better than the filet mignon we had at Primal across the street. Really fresh ingredients, everything is incredibly flavorful, the preparations are neither too basic nor too elaborate. The people are nice; they have a good brand of seltzer water in three flavors; it’s an unpretentious beachy experience, as shore dining should be. The only downside is that Akroteria has about seven tables and a lot of people hang out after they’re done eating. However you spend your time in Cape May you should not miss this place.

I can’t say enough good things about this establishment. The food is excellent. Hanger skewers delicious, crunch salad addictive. Everything we tried was amazing. We’ve been back several times, will be back many more before we leave CM.

Block Party is next level fresh and delicious. I try something different every time i stop by and it has always been remarkable. I though i knew gazpacho until I had it there yesterday. Just a couple of chefs in a booth. There’s no substitute for being handed this type of food direct from the creators themselves.
