King Louie’s has been a staple in the community since well before I was born. I love that the drive-in still exists as it really gives you a feel of the past. Service is always friendly and quick with usually no more than a 10-15 minute wait. The homemade root beer is the best and the potato planks with cheese and chili are delicious and my absolute favorite!

Food is still excellent, but watch the prices/charges. I ordered a single meal with a burger, planks, and small root beer.. $17+ and left a cash tip ? Then checked my credit card statement and was charged $24.xx+? I disputed the charge and got my money back for the difference, won’t be back. Bummer for them as chargebacks cost the business $25 or more.

This was my first time visiting this establishment. This is car hop for anyone that has never been here, so I guess the atmosphere is whatever you make it. The burgers were great. The fries were good a little soft for my taste, I prefer crispier fries. The root beer was fantastic. I will definitely be returning to try other items on their menu. I recommend you try them if you have never been there.

Darned good burgers!!!! Super friendly and fun staff. Brought my little girls (9&7) here one day for a late lunch around 2;00pm. They’re picky little eaters who never finish anything. They CONSUMED every drop!!! My big Double King loaded up was sooooo good. I could smell the grill the whole time we ate outside. I felt like I stepped back into the late 80’s. Meat was amazing, fries HOT, shakes creamy. Heck, their homemade root beer was even epic. Probably one of the best burgers I’ve eaten in over a decade….will absolutely be back!!!!!!! THANK YOU!

I have loved this place my entire life and bring new and old friends here at least once a week. The only complaint I have is that they close way too early at 8pm and should be open until at least 10! Big shout out to my server today, Ashley, for the always great service! Please open later!

We went there this past Saturday with friends. Shortly after we ordered, the tornado watch turned into a tornado warning. The owner of the restaurant provided us with safe shelter so we could remain inside and still enjoy our food. Later when his employees all left to seek safer shelter, he stayed with us to make sure we were taken care of. One of us in the group was visiting from overseas and this definitely showed him both the Midwest hospitality and the unpredictable weather!

The burgers are great, however everything else on the menu is fairly mid or even low quality. The nacho’s are $5.50 and you get a bag of generic chips and a tiny cup of cheese. The grilled cheese was $3.75 and really should have been a dollar because it was low quality white bread and mid quality cheese. I really love the Lion Tamer burger but this place charges high for low quality product. Staff are friendly and quite nice, though!
