Very nice place for a quick and tasty meal. We ordered regular burrito, super burrito, flan and churro, all good and fresh. The restaurant have many different salsa, with fresh ingredients and tortilla chips on a self service station. You order with the cashier, they give you a number for your table and the friendly staff quickly take your food to the table when it’s ready. Restrooms where ample and clean.

We were visiting home (California) because we live in Colorado now. I know a lot of great Mexican restaurants in the Bay, but we were staying with my family in EDH. Previously, I didn’t know of any really good Mexican places north of Sacramento. Just some background, I grew up and am from the mission district of San Francisco, California. I have also worked in many Mexican/ Latin kitchens. So I know good Mexican food when I taste it. Anyway, the Mr. asked me to bring back some tacos. I hade no idea EDH had a hidden gem! All I did was a quick google search for “The Best Tacos in El Dorado Hills”. This place is definitely it! I gave 5 stars for atmosphere because the place felt welcoming. If that makes any sense. Like I walked in the door and despite me actually looking for tacos, this was bright, airy and had a welcoming feel. Like had the Mr. been with me, we would have totally eaten there. The place was clean. No flies. The Salsa station was a little disorganized, but that’s to be expected. The guy behind the counter who took my order was friendly and I found that he’s from the city as well. I mentioned if I still lived in California I probably would have applied to work in their kitchen. ‍♀️♥️ . Service was great and the food was fresh and delicious!! I should have taken more of the pickled carrots and jalapeños. No matter, I make it at home for the Mr. I wish I had taken photos but we were so hungry, it was gobbled up almost as fast as I walked in the door. ‍♀️

Very disappointing, I ordered 2 flan, 3 chicken burritos (wet on the side) for my kids and an El pastor taco salad for myself. As I was checking my order, the lady came over with my flan they nearly forgot, so I stopped checking & left. Craving it stop badly, I stopped at Raleys then drove 20 mins home to open up my salad & find chicken salad with a soft wet burrito, not on the side. I hate chicken & obviously no one likes soggy burritos. How hard is it to make 4 things correctly?! On top of the rude attitude (she couldn’t crack a small to save her life) tiny cups to fill up salsa on a $70 order. I called and she said “sorry I don’t know what he did…” not sure what that means but I won’t be back.

Outdoor seating was absolutely perfect with the sun shining, not near the road so very little traffic driving by. The staff was attentive and friendly. All around a great experience. I will be back!!!
