Food was fantastic. We had a short wait before we could be seated. Cocktail was very good, if unusual. Steak frites was delicious – bernaise butter on the tender steak. Fries were fresh and hot. We split a side of Mac and cheese which was probably the best Mac and cheese either of us ever had. Plenty of delicious food, cold drinks, a very nice dinner. I would definitely eat here again.

The steaks were advertised as medium rare. Nope they were well done. Waitress walked past us several times without checking in to get additional drink orders or to bring our check. Don’t think we will come back.

The food and drink was delicious but honestly the service was outstanding. I showed up with my two dogs, they were very gracious and let me sit anywhere outside and were so attentive not just to me but also my dogs – the weather was a little sketchy and my dogs were being weird and the lovely service team made them very comfortable and were so very kind to me.

So impressed! From the NYC area, visiting Charlottesville for the weekend. This was our first restaurant stop and wow it was so good. We had the fried chicken sandwich, burger, and fried pickles. All were incredible. In addition, great bar list and the service was 10/10.

We went to this restaurant because the menu looked great, however the gentleman greeting and assigning tables was the rudest, most arrogant person I have met. My wife and I love coming to the downtown area and trying new places. I would never go back to the Fitzroy no matter how good the food is. People make the difference.

For the nice location and atmosphere, I expected more. The cocktails were very average, and the food was decent but entirely uncreative. Though the venue was nice, the food itself was comparable to Applebees. I will say that the fried chicken got great marks.

Pretty good food! Quite pricey and some of the dishes could have used better seasoning/the flavors were odd. The drinks are great though, especially the Moscow mules. Our waitress was also super friendly.
