Ample parking here . We waited in line maybe ten minutes. They had a line that was to the door in the hotdog place. The line moved fairly quickly. We ordered and by the time we reached the register they had my order almost ready. I wanted too go here because I saw pics of the meat sauce. I love a good meat sauce. Not chilli dogs I dislike chilli dogs. So I ordered three Texas hots(meat sauce , onion, mustard,)and a large order of bacon cheese fries. The dogs didn’t disappoint. They were slightly spicy and were pretty good. I haven’t found anywhere else that offers the traditional meat sauce. I did think that the large order of bacon cheese fries was a bit on the small size. It was around $33 total .For two medium drinks, three Texas hots and a large order of bacon cheese fries. It’s worth stopping in and checking them out if your a fan of meat sauce. Apparently this place gets one heck of a line. So glad we didn’t have too wait in line forever.

Wow, just wow. The Gianelli Italian Sausage was nothing short of incredible. In business since 1917, there’s no wonder why. Great food, great service and a nice atmosphere.

We both had the daily special and my only “complaint” or request is there are no beef frank or kosher options on the menu and the hot dog was good but in general I don’t prefer the taste or texture of pork. The service was terrific though! Really loved how friendly the team was and how quick everything was served. Clean place

Heid’s is a must visit local hot dog spot in Syracuse! It has been around for an incredibly long time and has always been incredibly fast, delicious, and a place to go back to time and time again. Their hot dogs and snappy grillers are incredible and the main reason people go there! Definitely try the snappy with sauerkraut and spicy mustard, I promise you won’t be disappointed. They offer other food too such as chicken tenders, French fried, onion rings, pickles and more but I go back time and time again for the hot dog. Don’t expect a fancy establishment but instead get ready for no frills dining with a very simple and delicious menu! A great place to go in the summer months and sit out side and watch the cars go by or look across the road to Onondaga Lake Park!

I guess its an acquire taste, and I am from Texas. The hotdog was undercooked and the taste was not like typical hotdogs. The fryer was broken so we could not taste their fries, that was disappointing. The bun was like a regular loaf bread, nothing special. The place is small and not very clean.

It was a bit of a line/wait, but on a nice Sunday afternoon, that was to be expected. My family had a quick meal here. Everyone had a hot dog, and we shared two orders of fries and onion rings. The fried food was fresh and crisp. Best onion rings I’ve had in years. We also had some ice cream afterward, which was very refreshing and filling. It was very hot outside, but it’s nice to have that option if you would rather be outside.

Heids was my best friend’s place to visit before she past on 4/7/23. I was there to honor her memory and enjoy the food, and it wasn’t intentional, I was out that way on business. On my way back home I stopped and had two Snappys and fries. In remembrance of my bestest friend… Listen the fries are so so amazing.

Ordered 2 dogs, 3 chicken tender meals, and motz sticks, for a grand total of $67. The grease was so heavy no one could stomach more than a few bites. I’ve had better hot dogs boiled in my college dorm. Service was fine, it’s not the staff’s fault the food is trash.

I’m in Syracuse visiting family (I live in North Carolina), and we stopped at Heid’s for a quick bite. This is a regular spot for my brother and sister in law; I’m glad they recommended it!
