6/8/23. Took 2 friends to the Cafe that hadn’t eaten there before. We had a good time and left happy and full. One ginormous salad, Wings and frye and Platter of onion rings. The place was doing a lot of business because of Notes on Oak. Very busy so we had a bit of a wait but service was still good.

This place has potential. They do not have the full menu all day everyday they are open. We tried this spot on a Sunday for lunch, and the fish and chips were not going to be available until 3 p.m., but they were closing at 4 p.m. that day. Oh well, it made it cheaper for us by not trying a dinner and just getting an appetizer and a hamburger. They are not always open according to the Google search. We tried to go back this past Sunday to get breakfast with friends, and they still had the chairs on the tables at the opening time at 9 a.m. There was not a sign in the window stating different hours. I hope they get their issues sorted, the food was good, and we would like to return.

Stopped in for lunch with my daughter. We had the parmesan garlic truffle fries for appetizer. Ordered them on the suggestion by guests heading out the door. We had a rolled chicken sandwich and shrimp po’boy with onion rings. Amazing. The fries were great, ate all of them. The sandwiches were yummy and the onion rings were really good.

I had the BLT with fries and my friend had Cheeseburger with bacon and fries. Our meals were piping hot and delicious. Bacon was not under cooked or over cooked. The sisters were very welcoming and friendly. Will definitely go back again.

The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was great! My mom got the Shrimp Po Boy with onion rings and I got the chicken sandwich with onion rings. We also shared an order of Parmesan truffle fries. Everything was delicious. Great local spot in downtown Bonner Springs!

I did contact the owners simply because there was concern about the order. I ordered the 12 piece Catfish Bites expecting the fries and slaw, I had no idea that the Bites came à la carte. After picking up my order I discovered that the Bites were very( more like burned) overcooked at the appearance and undercooked upon tasting them. Photo posted! Very poor business attitude. Nothing was done to rectify the problem with the order. Disappointed! It’s apparent that customers don’t matter since NO ATTEMPT WAS MADE TO CONTACT ME OR OFFER TO REPLACE THE BURNED CATFISH BITES. SO, it won’t matter that I tell everyone that I know how you do business AND that they should be aware. Also, when you make a delivery that it’s not good business to hand the customer the bag with their food from your car window! Yes, messed up! June 27, 2023

Online hours updated 3 days ago and says open 9am Sunday morning. Watched 2 people go in front door then lock behind them just before 9 and leave through back door 5 min later. Lights off and sign says closed….
