We’ve been going here for a few years and the food is always delicious and the service is friendly. This is authentic Jamaican food. The oxtails, curry chicken, shrimp, breakfast, soups are all good. Oh and I can forget the beverage and patties (but get there early the patties may be sold out).

I used to frequent here a lot, but then I stopped when I found hair in my food and couldn’t get a replacement. The other day I decided to give it another chance and ordered over the phone. I arrived 30mins after I called, and instantly regretted my decision. I ordered a small meal that wasn’t ready. As I was waiting, 4 people walked in, ordered, and were served right away. A few of us that were standing there were shocked. The lighter toned lady at the counter has the worst attitude possible in an establishment. Very rude, as if a paying customer annoys her. She should never be allowed to interact with people, or find another job. Finally get my food, and my order was wrong. I didn’t dare to mention it, because it probably would’ve been another hour, or if she had gotten smart…Well you know how that could end. I’ll just spend my money elsewhere, where you’re treated with respect.

Today I ordered lg curry chicken and lg brown stew chicken. The portions were massive and the food was hot and tasty. What amazing service we received as well. I got a big bang for my buck today. I am truly impressed and will definitely return again.

Dam this food is good . Right amount of flavors and spice. The cabbage is steamed to the perfect crunch. My only regret is getting a medium instead of a Large…. and it’s not because the portion was small, I just wanted more it’s so good.

I guess the cashier/cook is too beautiful to wait for some people she feel is beneath her to choose what they actually want to eat, because they are paying with their hard earned money. She was rushing me through my order and when i didn’t go as fast as she liked she rolled eyes like i was annoying her for taking too long ( in her opinion) so i politely said never mind cancel my order. The nerve of some of these merchants, if you think some of your customers are beneath you, and not worth you taking the time to let them complete their order then i can take my money to another merchant who appreciates my cash

I’m extremely surprised I haven’t heard of this place before. I’ve been getting Jamaican food from D&H Jamaican Cuisine in Newark, DE for 10+ years. Came across this place on Uber Eats and decided to give it a try.. I am pleasantly surprised. While I was unable to try the plantains, I received a call letting me know they were out and they offered Mac and Cheese as a substitute. Half of the time, you don’t even get a call. It’s very much appreciated! While this place is quite different from D&H, it is still delicious, and the portions are definitely worth the price. The low ratings don’t make much sense, but it looks like the “bad” reviews are from over a year ago, I urge everyone to give it another try. Great service, delicious food.
