Friendly staff and family owned. Great mix of flavorful Mexican food. I had the Picadillo with rice and beans and it was the best flavor. Residing from Central Texas, this is definitely a different but enjoyable experience! Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Nice restaurant. A little hard to find, but worth the effort. Wife and I had standard breakfast. Great home made flour tortillas, and excellent home made hot sauce. Service was prompt and friendly. We will be back when we are back in town

Good little hole in the wall. Not the best in town, but I think the prices make up for it.

On our way back to Alamogordo from Carlsbad my family wanted to stop at their fave Mexican restaurant and we learned on the way that it had burned down in April. This place had a higher rating and reviews that raved about the fresh in house made everything. Kids ordered first. 2 bean and cheese burritos that they (aged 4 and 7) enjoyed and the oldest had the ham and cheese torta that she enjoyed. The adults ordered the Asado, flautas, tacos and I ordered the fajitas. The Asado was described as spicy pork puppy chow with rice and beans. My fajitas were made spicy to a point even the ones at the table who handle spice very well said it was too spicy for them. As for me, I was red faced with tears and snot running down my face with no bevarage in front of me at all. Someone had to go get our waitress in the back who was having meal with her family and screaming crying toddler to get me a horchata just to cool my mouth. When I informed our waitress that they should warn that they are using Serrano peppers and that it is very spicy she laughed at me. Avoid this restaurant if you can. I am sure there are better options that don’t charge for chips and salsa in the area. One member of our party even said Taco Bell would have been better.

Excellent New Mexican Mexican food prepared fresh from home recipes. I think it ranks among the best restaurants in the state. Food isn’t fast, but worth the wait. They want you to be happy with your meal. Always got a fabulous plate!
