Being disappointed is an understatement! Me and my husband come to this location everyday if not every other day. I’ve been a customer 2+ years. It’s always a hit or miss but my experience today was unacceptable. I ordered my usual Nutella acai bowl and this is what I get. Mind you, their bowl costs $13. When I asked for more acai, I was given nasty looks, attitudes and was told “we don’t have more açaí”. When I brought this to the so called managers attention, he got defensive and asked me to leave the store and said I’m making the employees uncomfortable I asked both of their names and they refused to give me their names and continued to ask me to leave! Extremely disrespectful, unorganized and poor customer service.

This place is a hit or miss, depending on the mood of the workers. Been here enough times to truly experience this. Ordered an açaí power bowl and as you can see from the pictures, it was a halfa** job done. While I watched the lady worker make the bowl, I noted that the protein powder wasn’t blended in either. While waiting on the line, there was another customer who had to tell them some ingredients were missing from her bowl too. Management, figure it out with your workers!

The bowls were pretty good but the service was a bit slow and they were out of a lot of ingredients even though it was pretty early in the morning. I would come back though. Tasted good

Granola portion felt like it was coming out of whoever prepared the bowl’s paycheck, nothing but a sprinkle. Bananas are very clearly turning brown, coconut in huge chunks. For a $15 bowl at 8am this is definitely a day ruiner be warned

I am downgrading my review from 5 stars to 2 stars after several less than desirable experiences over the past few months. I’ve been visiting Playa Bowls in Reston Town Center about 1-2 times a month (give or take) for the past year. It used to be one of my favorite places that provided high quality smoothies and good customer service. With that said, I’ve seen a huge difference over the past 3-4 months. Firstly, it seems like it is almost always run entirely by teenagers. While it is good for them to gain work experience, and to an extent we should be understanding of their inexperience, it is just not working. There needs to be an experienced manager in place to properly supervise them. The last several times there I observed behaviors that included them screaming at each other, arguing, using foul language and becoming frustrated with customers who had legitimate complaints. My smoothies tasted bad and looked visually off. The owners need to have a stronger presence. I am taking a break and hope they improve.

Really yummy and healthy option for a snack, drink or breakfast. Loved the pressed juice options, the oatmeal was worth the price with the amount of figs and banana and walnuts on there.

You know a place serves real deal freshness when you walk in and the first thing you notice is the line of fresh pineapples sitting on top of the counter, of which every so often a worker walks around to grab one to cut up and use in the smoothies/ bowls! Yes, I’m talking about Playa Bowls here if you didn’t catch that.
