oh. my god. you folks. ive never really sunk into eating bbq food since i moved to the midwest but we ordered from there and i ate enough to feed a family of 4. everything is AMAZING. do NOT miss this place if you get the chance to eat from there. i didn’t even know what a burnt end was but i know they ARE DELICIOUS. we can’t wait to order from here again.

One of the best BBQ joints I’ve been to. Burnt ends melted in my mouth. Horseradish slaw, yes! Baked beans… gooey delicious mess! Glad I found them passing through town. Very nice folks!

Me and a friend are driving to the CWS in Omaha and came upon this gem of a BBQ on our way. Was thinking about waiting till we got to KC to eat but so glad we stopped at Shawnee’s BBQ! Don’t let the exterior slow you down because their food was outstanding. Must admit I was a little disappointed when they just sold out of the last order of burnt ends. Oh well, guess I’ll just try their meat sampler platter. Ribs, brisket, ham and a phenomenal hot sausage link. Yes please!

Amazing food and fantastic service! The chef was alone in the kitchen when we arrived during a lunch rush, and he kept the food coming out. The baked beans are the best I have had. The portions are generous, and the waitress was on top of all the chaos. Loved it!

Great pulled pork with a generous amount on a bun that was toasted to perfection. Pork tasted great even without the sauce that is a great twist on the traditional KC style sauce.

I had the combo ( ham and beef brisket) sandwich with fries. The ham was good, the brisket was very tender with a nice deep smoke ring and very tasty bark. Very large portions. Looking forward to coming back again.

I ordered a slab to go with beans & potato salad. The sides taste store bought. The ribs were no way professionally smoked, but sold at those prices. Won’t be going back.

Stopped by on a road trip and they were busy when we walked in. We were welcomed right away and told he would be with us soon. The man was hustling and I appreciate that! We ordered the ribs and the chicken. The main courses were incredible and just fell off the bones. It had a wonderful smoke flavor and was cooked to a perfect temp. We got messy and enjoyed every bite. The sides were amazing with some of the best BBQ Beans I have had. Would suggest a stop if you are in the area!
