We had about 16 in our group and they did a great job taking care of us. I’m not a big fan of ribs, but these were great, really tender.

Pretty good price for the size of the sandwich. I would have given 5 stars if they actually had BBQ sauce. The waitress gave us stuff that should have been for mozzarella sticks. Which they dont even sell lol. The sauce was like marinara sauce. Other then that still pretty good.

First time here. I ordered a combo sandwich, with beef and polish sausage. I assumed the polish would be a link or even a link split long-wise. I was wrong, it was sliced horizontally, in thin, small strips. It truly tasted like a hot dog and neither I or my friend liked it. The beef was great! Melt in your mouth great! Perhaps add to the menu that the polish sausage is sliced? Change it to a link?

Still a good eat here. Not as good as it was 10+ years ago, but still decent if you are in the area. Make sure and bring cash or the check book as only the ATM takes plastic. While I know its a reality, I didn’t like being able to see my food being heated by microwave and paying a buck and half to get one can of soda with a cup to pour it in (no refills). Also, no fried food here. That’s not necessarily a negative, just be aware that there are no french fries or fried appetizers like you might normally expect.

Great BBQ in a little town in East Central Kansas. Family owned, super friendly, and great service! Half rack served in foil on a newspaper. Homemade BBQ sauce and hot pickle spears!

The only okay ish thing here was the ribs. The potatoes in the potato salad were hard. The beans were not good. The meat was dry and not well seasoned. The BBQ sauce literally tastes like marinara. And we were lucky we had cash and literally just enough to pay for our food and barely leave a tip because they do NOT take card. Crazy. Would not go again and would not recommend

Excellent food. We called ahead so didn’t eat inside. But the food was really good. Got sandwiches. The meat was good. The sauce was good. Wish I lived closer!!

First time I’ve been here in 15 years, and the ribs were just as tender and delicious as I remembered. It won’t be so long in between visits .

While it was pretty good, I would not agree with the people that say this place is worth two hours of driving from KC for. If you are passing by it’s certainly worth the short detour off the highway. Ribs; not much meat, oddly cut, and a little dry but not horrible. Beef sandwich; uniquely sliced thin beef, great flavor, little dry but adding some sauce made it pretty good, incredible value at $3.50. Disappointed that there was no pulled pork to try but the unique beef sandwich makes up for that. Hot pickles are another unique item and they were very good. Tomato based sauce, a little on sweet side, also pretty good and unique. Cool divey atmosphere.

Well worth the trip off the highway if you’re going north or south on I-35 in Kansas. BBQ was really tender and the portions were generous.
