Take a frozen chicken nugget… microwave it(so its soggy)… put a trace amount of a watered down, colorless flavoring… and that is what you get if you order General Tso Chicken from this place. The other dishes we had were along the same lines… barely edible cheap frozen food.

Excellent old fashioned Chinese restaurant. Large portion sizes, reasonable prices. My favorite Chinese restaurant within 50 miles tgat serves the classics. Carry out only right now due to covid restrictions. 2pm-9pm temporary hours.

I found this place during covid and drive from Camas to this location for Chinese food because it is the absolute best! Being from So Cal originally it’s hard to find good Chinese food. So glad they are open for dine I. Again! We would sit in our car and down it! Too good to pass up and so glad they were open during covid!

Food is very good. You get a lot for your money. The building could use some updating but it’s okay. The bar has several video poker machines and drinks are decent. Try the scorpion bowl!

The place had much better Chinese food than we expected. Don’t be scared off if the place looks empty… they do quite a bit of take out orders. We also noticed that many of the customers were repeat customers… always a good sign.

The H R Restaurant is my very favorite in HR to eat. The service is wonderful. The food is always fresh and hot. The portions are large so you are not hungry when you are finished eating. They also serve great cocktails. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys Chinese good. They also have a limited American menu. The price is right! Not good food but great food!

Ate at this restaurant about 3 weeks ago. The place was pretty dark & empty for dinner. Actually we were the only ones there. We were visiting from out of state. Altho the food was good my husband & I got food poisoning! Won’t go there against tho we visit Hood River quite often
