Warning this is lengthy. First time here & will definitely be back. We ordered large Oxtail w Rice & Peas and Small Curry Chicken w Rice and Peas with a side of Ripe Plantain. The meal comes w cabbage which is seasoned & cooked to perfection. She took her time getting the order down and it was worth the wait. The portions were large & the food was delicious. We overheard her telling another Customer their Coco bread would be ready shortly because they do not put them out front with beef patties or they would dry out. It was worth the wait ( they were busy) for her to put our dishes together.

I never tried Jamaican food before so I decided to try it out today(I got the chicken curry ) and I’m glad that I did. It’s a great Bursting of flavors you get , and I love the smell of the food. I love the rice and beans. The chicken was flavorful and full of spice. The cabbage was a great addition to the plate. The inside of the place seems new but overall great experience if you’re looking for something new instead of fast food.

Oxtail for lunch, delicious and fall off the bone. The cabbage and rice are fresh and flavorful, just needed a bit of salt to elevate the flavors. We met the owner today, he was very nice. His sister works the front counter and is always so helpful and pleasant. She was discussing how her brother makes sure he is always serving fresh made items, nothing is carried over to the next day. She said they almost always sell out. If you want curried goat be sure to call ahead.

I always enjoy picking up my food from this family owned and operated restaurant! The food is always made to order, and portions are definitely generous. You have to put your order in early for the BarBi- Fried chicken….it’s always sells out fast!!!

Hands down my new favorite restaurant. I’ve tried it 3 times in the past week. The Curry chicken, brown stew chicken, and Jerk chicken are all amazing. The portion sized are huge and the seasoning is so good it makes my eyes roll back in my head. I finally got to chat with the sweet lady serving orders today and she was the absolute greatest. Yes it’s a tiny store with only 4 seats, yes it’s off the beaten bath. But as someone who never ate food like this growing up, every bite still feels like coming home. I run kitchens for a living, I give it 5/5, please try this food.

Tasty food and plenty of it! Got the curry chicken plate with cabbage and rice and peas. Coco bread was like a warm, fluffy cloud. Fast service, even though they seemed pretty busy. The people were so nice, too! Will be back when I’m in the area.

I’ve found small restaurants in strip malls to be either very good or very bad. The Jamaica Jerk Pit is a hidden gem. The menu is somewhat limited but the food is fantastic. I had stewed chicken with rice and beans and cabbage. The stew gravy is richly spiced with a great depth of flavor without being hot. The prices are quite reasonable and despite having a large appetite the platter filled me up.

My coworker and I just went here today. We will now be coming back for lunch weekly. Food was amazing. Great size portions of everything. Enough food for two meals. We both ordered the oxtails with rice beans and cabbage and we were both offered a sample of the jerk chicken as well which was incredible. The owner and his staff were amazing…very friendly. Plus a very clean restaurant. Thank you Andrew! Everyone go check it out!
