Overall some of the best Mexican I have had in New England. For just opening, the menu was appropriately sized. Looking forward to the additions on the menu. Will definitely return. Once Margaritas are added I will review again as a good Margarita is hard to find.

Literally the worst service in town, absolutely no consistency. We have gone 3 times since they have opened and the food is ok-good (depending on what items you order) but you might as well staff the restaurant with goldfish, they would be more helpful. The service is getting worse the longer it is open. Here are some of the issues.

Having lived in AZ for a time, I can tell you I am familiar with the differences of authentic Mexican and American Mexican. Los Jefes is definitely authentic cuisine but with some shortcuts. I sampled the Al Pastor, Birria, and Carnitas tacos. I also tried the quesobirria.

Definitely the best Mexican around. Great service, very friendly, will be a regular place for my family.

Food was terrible and so bland! Avoid the burritos at all costs! Way too much meat and no taste. We also had a child serving us and waited 45+ minutes for our food. Paper menus, no margaritas. I wanted to love it but sadly I can’t.

When I first walked in I was a little shocked to see a 10 year old behind the counter. I ordered food just for my self the total came to over 50$. I got 2 burritos, chips & salsa, rice beans and tres leches. I got chips with out salsa, the burritos were very grease, the rice was okay, the beans were gross. The only good thing was the tres leches. I called to complain mainly about the empty salsa container and was told they don’t care they have more customer. This is the WORST Resturant I have ever been to!! An absolutely disgrace I wish saint albans had a good Mexican restaurant

It is very nice to have this new option in St. Albans. I have to say the wait stuff did very well on their toes even though you could tell they were overwhelmed by the sudden rush that came in. People need to remember that two teenage girls are not fully equipped to run in front of house and most restaurants have a support staff which they did not. They were waiting on every table as well as doing the to-go orders. It’s a lot of volume and I was so grateful to see the few people who were kind and courteous. The food has gotten much better since the soft opening the portion seemed better. The sopas were quite tasty and the barrier was tender and delicate. I would recommend more salsa with the chips as there’s barely enough for half. But all in all, it’s a tasty spot. The staff does care and they’re trying and a little bit of patience to help support this fresh business from the community is just going to help it excel in the future.

Food is amazing without a doubt. But just sat in the restaurant for 45 min after ordering 3 tacos and his to leave without eating after not getting them. I’m always sympathetic when a restaurant is busy but if 45 min for 3 tacos is a problem there’s a bigger issue going on either in prep or the kitchen. The food was really good when I was able to eat it last week so I’ll give it another shot in a few months when they’ve figured out whatever is going on in there.

It will take a little for them to iron out some things but I came for the food and like it a lot. This is a place run by a family, they are doing the best they can with what they have. Food is good the service is super friendly if you are friendly to them. I am from out of town and will return when in St. Albans
