I have eaten many times at Cracker Barrel. Last night it made it to my top 5 worst meals ever list. Ordered take out since i was travelling into town for work. The person who took my order spoke to fast to understand and seemed aggravated to even be taking my order. I got a meat loaf dinner and the $5 meatloaf entree. The entree arrived cold, out of the refrigerator, which has never happened before. It was with my hot food, so they might as well have put it on ice. Since it was refrigerated, I don’t consider it fresh. I have no idea when it was packaged and put in the fridge. As cold as it was, it would have to been in fridge for several hours. Was very disappointed at that point, but oh well, will just have to heat everything up when I get to where I am staying and not order that again. When I got to where I was going, I opened my main meal to eat. It was burnt. Not lightly charred, but rock hard, can’t chew it, black end piece that would have never been served in the restaurant. The Mac and cheese was soupy, runny, and cold from the refrigerator. Potatoes were also cold and the gravy was a gelatinous, greasy looking mess. Thank goodness I ordered the $5 entree. I had to heat everything up, discard the burnt meatloaf and basically combine the 2 meals to get 1. Wasn’t driving the 30 minute round trip drive to get it fixed after being on the road all day. Not giving up on Cracker Barrel yet, but probably not returning to this one any time soon.

Seated without a long wait but the food took a long time to arrive after ordering. One member of our party checked with another waitress to get ours to return since we hadn’t seen her. Food was good except the biscuits weren’t fluffy as normal…they were hard. But, we visited on a holiday so there may have been less staff or different cooks. Have been before and would return again.

This was my very first time there. Let me start by saying that we arrived a half an hour before their closing. We waited for ten minutes before we were seated. Then we ordered our entrees very quickly so we don’t hold up the workers. We waited a half an hour till our food came out. The loaded sweet potato was frozen for in the center and the fried chicken was dry. I cannot say I was impressed by the food or the treatment there.

The service was pretty good, but the food left something to be desired. The salt on our table and on the one next to us was completely solid, so I had to request some usable salt. I ordered a breakfast meal that was biscuits and gravy and some sides. The eggs came out wrong, and I waited so long for the biscuits that my sides were cold and my friend was done eating. It was absolutely freezing in the restaurant as well. Overall, it wasn’t a very good experience. I will not be coming back to this particular location.

Couldn’t decide between the chicken and dumplings. The meat loaf or the fried chicken. Low and behold. They have a combination meal that included all three. Ate it all, and it was delicious. Get a small side of gravy for the biscuit.
