Great food. Not the most exciting place but a fantastic cook in the kitchen makes this a diamond in the rough. Date enjoyed the food getting the kung pow and I had the sizzle plate (pictured). Noticed a good amount of carry out but I always want my first try of anyplace to be inside. Definitely worth it.

It’s a good place for lunch. The service is friendly and fast without hovering over you. The restaurant and buffet area were clean and restocked fresh, quite often. We stopped in for the lunch buffet and of course I had to try alittle of everything! I was not disappointed with price or the food! If you gotta craving and your in the area, this place will do, you can trust me in that.

We lived in Derby for 16 years upon moving there from Australia. My wife would pick up an order at least four times per month on her way from work. More frequently sometimes. The spare ribs are to die for!!! Every dish we had ordered was great. We have since retired to Texas and unfortunately are unable to find a restaurant that can even come close to Good Fortune.

The first time I dined here was over 30 years ago. I relocated for a bit but have recently dined there a couple of times. Same decor, same great food!! The fried rice, crab rangoon, and egg drop soup tastes the same as they did 30 years ago and the best that I have found anywhere! Small, quaint and quiet. The staff are the best, friendly and accomodating!!

Refused to sit us at a booth because they person I went with was larger. The guy serving us told us he “wouldn’t fit”. It’s such a ghetto little spot but oh man is that food awesome. Great price as well.

The food was good, but we got there 50 minutes before closing, and it was to go only. I wanted to be able to sit down and eat, not have to jump back in the car and take it somewhere else.

I’ve lived in Derby for 30 years and never eaten there. My wife and I stopped by at 745 pm and ordered takeaway. It was super fresh right out of the wok! Very delicious and awesome customer service! Top 3 Generals chicken I’ve had for sure! We will go again.
