exceptional fish, we had some of their more geeky food this time – silver skin yaki, pork cheek, and beef tendon. Sake selections are quite different and way more approachable than last time i was there, and of course Matt’s knife work and fish butchering while you watch make for such a cool dining experience. Really did not enjoy this food. The quality tasted like Ralph’s super market pre made sushi.. also the the cook kept eating in the kitchen right in front of us. Not once not twice but like 10 times… seriously ate more than us. The pre fix menu was terrible and over price for the quality and the amount. Over $200 with tax tip and all for two people. Rather gone to Sugarfish and paid $70 bucks for two people and not have to see the chef eat raw fish that he is serving me with the same hand. The gentleman that greeted us when we walked was really nice hence two stars and not one.

Excellent LA outpost of this essential Las Vegas restaurant. This outpost does not disappoint and maintains the high standard of the original. The staff are fantastic – friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes and pairings that would work. They seem happy to work there. There is both indoor seating as well as patio seating. The Raku tofu is truly beautiful and a must-have. It’s also pretty much impossible to go wrong with their charcoal grill dishes. There is a long board of daily specials that your waiter will bring to the table. The sake menu is fantastic.

Wow fantastic! Came here for my girlfriends birthday with her family and it was great! I’ve had amazing sushi in Japan and here in the states, and this restaurant was able to capture the quality I was expecting!

One of the best places to eat! We made reservations in advance, so there was no wait. The food is amazing! The hot stone steak and desserts were my favorite. The grilled mushrooms were also great too. Its a must if you haven’t been there!
