If you’ve been to a Popeyes, you already know what to expect. The food isn’t going to be on anyone’s list of healthy choices. That said, their chicken is really good. Their chicken sandwich is even better. We particularly like the spicy version of both the fried chicken and sandwich.

So I stopped by the Popeyes chicken on Manchaca rd. on my way home and when I went in I was greeted immediately by a smiling cheerful woman named Maria, she was so friendly and patient with me while I was deciding what my large order was going to be. She helped me with suggestions and order sizes, thank goodness! I went to the restroom while she and the staff filled my order and I was pleasantly surprised at how beautifully clean the bathroom was. When I came out within seconds Maria told me that my order was ready. We thanked each other and she smiled and said have a beautiful rest of your day. Maria didn’t know that yesterday had been really hard for me but my interaction with her changed my day. Our food was delicious and the rest of my day was fantastic. Thank you Popeyes for having great food and absolutely wonderful employees like Maria. Signed Rachel Bunn

Well, I’ve been visiting this location for dinner more times than I can count for years and I’ve always been pleased by the quick and friendly service, especially when Francis (who I believe is the manager) is present because she brings such professionalism and kindness to a job that you do not see that in anymore.

The nuggets that I ordered were cold and looked to have been sitting for a while. I sat on the inside and the tables weren’t clean, there was a leak in the ceiling that was very badly dropping on the floor. The customer service was nice and everyone seemed to be hard at work. The chicken my son ordered was hot and perfectly cooked.

The popeyes on menchaca and slaughter always impresses me with great customer service even if I drive up, say at 9pm. Food is always fresh hot, fast too. Thank you. Love your spicy chicken!

My family and I met up here to eat. The person taking our order seemed as if he was irritated that we were there. One of our family members came a few minutes later and had to call us because the front door was locked. Which was really odd because it was only approximately 1 pm. So, we let him in thinking someone must have accidentally locked the door. Well, that’s not the case. The staff was ticked off because someone came in after us. Needless to say, they did not take my son’s order and turned away other people that came in after him. They proceeded to lock the front doors after they let everyone out. Took a picture of the hours of operation. To see if we possibly overlooked something. The employees apparently just didn’t want people in the lobby.

This is the Popeyes location nearest to my home. I’ve ordered from this location 4 times and they’ve messed up 3 times. (left out or gave the wrong sides)… This review is specifically for order #78 on Saturday 3/18/23. Two Large red beans and rice left out of our order… I’d like to pick up my order and trust that its correct. This is actually the only place I have to keep an eye on. Food quality is fine.

I love Popeyes…but I won’t be eating at this location ever again: I ordered my chicken tenders meal and took it home to eat. I was halfway through my food when I looked down and realized the tender I was eating was UNDERCOOKED and had RAW spots in it…I hope I don’t end up sick from eating it…how do you manage to undercook something as thin cut as a chicken tender?

Only one place can fillet the chest off of an obese, flightless bird, slap some plant dust on it, coat it in grass powder, boil it in seed-squeezins, cover it in stinging dust, and a sauce made of unborn bird chow suspended in seed oil, pack it between two lumps of yeast-infested, warmed dough balls, in a transcendent drive-thru adventure like Popeyes can. The fast-food chicken sandwich wars are over. And Popeyes is on the stand wearing the gold, holding the big trophy, and waving at the fans. Actually, on this trip, we got the eight-piece family meal. But you get the point.
