From the reviews I was almost dissuaded, but I took a chance anyway and was glad that I did! The fish was of unexpectedly good quality, the maguro nigiri the deep ruby red that I prefer. I’ve also never before had halibut nigiri but it was positively delightful. The selection of rolls was a little underwhelming, but the rainbow roll did not disappoint. To top it off, the staff was wonderful. Highly recommend!

I was surprised at the prices considering there is no seating provided. It is literally a little “to go” shack. The rolls were nothing to rave about. The chicken teriyaki was not eatable.

I thought that was just great, I had no idea when I would be in Phillipsburg today that I would be having sushi for lunch!

Overall very good. Some minor details made it not quite as good as a place like Dave’s Sushi in Bozeman, but I can’t say that took away from the fact that this was good quality shushi that was well worth the price. Would definitely go there again!

I am not going to lie, I was very skeptical about getting sushi here. Not because it was unclean, or reviews told me it was bad. It was strictly based on my sushi experiences in smaller towns in rural areas…but everything was so good! Truly was really good, and will be back for some sushi hopefully real soon.

So good! Salmon nigiri is a must. Mochi dessert and Thai iced tea are also great.

I really wanted to like it, especially after all of the positive reviews; however, I was disappointed. The main reason for the poor review was the chicken teriyaki. It was so incredibly salty that it was nearly inedible. I had to stop eating because I was getting nauseous from the sauce and threw most of it away. I hope it was just a bad batch. The rainbow roll was also especially small for the price but pretty tasty.

Sushi Shack is amazing! We had the Maui Wowi and Mexican Standoff rolls along with the Chicken Teriyaki. The Teriyaki sauce is made from scratch and is perfect! The rolls were SO good – there is certainly experience making them. We will be back to try more rolls soon!

Had the Mexican Standoff and it was excellent. Surprisingly good. Especially taking it to go and eating it at the brewery with some cold beer. Excellent job.
