A surprisingly delicious Korean fast food bowl. I got the Korean steak which was essentially beef Bulgogi, and it did not disappoint. I left satisfied and full, would be a perfect lunch spot, even though it is a bit on the expensive side.

OMG it smells so good when I was walking past this place in downtown Santa cruz. And the actual food did not disappoint. Portions are very generous and food is incredibly tasty. I love that they have low carb options. It would be even better if they had some assurance but it was keto friendly because it may have some added sugar in the sauces.

BBQ chicken Salad with Kimchi, bean sprouts and mushrooms, topped of with a spicy vinaigrette. Very flavorful and delicious! The other meal is bbq chicken with white rice, broccoli and cucumbers.

The place is very new, so this is more of preliminary than an actual review. The staff handled the rush well and once I reached the front of the line, my time at the counter was very short. There are no nuts or dairy in the dishes; everything is vegan aside from the meat and soup. Some of the banchan were a bit too sweet: I’d stay away from the radish, but the carrots, Kimchi and bean sprouts were good. Of course, that might be an issue from them figuring out things still. I can’t speak for the meat, I didn’t get any. The alcohol selection is a few bottled beers and ginger ale with soju.

The quality of the food has really taken a dive. Not only were they missing like 4 different ingredients in our order but the rice was overcooked the kimchi just tasted like regular cabbage the sauce was bland and so was the steak. I do not recommend this HoM

This was our first time having Korean and this place is great. The food is amazing especially the Hodo Tofu. What makes it even better is that the service was even better than our meal! We even made sure to ask for the manager Paul’s name because he really goes above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of and has a great attitude. We went on a super busy night and he even went back to make one of the things my wife wanted that they were out of despite us saying he didn’t need to do that. Great service!

The food from this place is amazing. We were very happy with how everything tasted in our lunch bowls and even considered returning for round two for dinner, but the place was closed. I especially liked how the shredded potato and the Hodo tofu are prepared. So much yummy flavour! Also, the white rice is very fluffy but holds together well and is of good consistency. Overall, the place is like the Korean equivalent of Chipotle. Fast, delicious, and nutritious food!

A relative new edition to downtown Santa Cruz, in the former location of Hoffman’s Restaurant, Hom Korean Kitchen is worth a visit (or more). The concept is Korean food in a Poke-bowl style. You choose the base, the protein, and 3 vegetables (banchan) to go on top. The food seems healthy and is definitely tasty. Service is pretty fast, too. There is also a Poke Bowl counter in the same space.

The HOM in downtown SC is probably the most flavorful, filling and affordable food joint there. I always come here for a quick meal or when my group can’t decide where to go. Initially I found this a bit pricy for a broke college student, but later realized that the quantity for the price is amazing! The serving size is pretty generous although you have an option of a small bowl too. I would like to praise the manager, Paul and other servers for their awesome hospitality. When you walk in, you’ll be greeted by “Welcome HOM(e)!” Definitely give it a try!

The chicken taste really good when its done right and it doesn’t sit for too long. Otherwise its just dry. I did an uber eats oder yesterday and needed to pay obviously an additional 13$ for it to be delivered. So my meal was all together $27 and basically i got rice and dried burnt chicken. I live down the street from Hom Korean in San Jose. Usually i go in person and double make sure that the chicken looks fresh before ordering.( i always ask the worker to show ne the chicken)If it doesn’t look fresh, i just leave and try again some other day. That is ridiculous. Asian box does a better job for the same price. Maybe ask asian box how they do it?!
