We were at The Grill at the Lift House for food and drinks while taking a break from some great skiing. The burgers were very good. I had the Whiskey burger and could barely finish it. I believe it was about $13. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating as was the female bartender. The ONLY reason I did not give this place 5 stars is because of the rude and disrespectful bartender. I wish I remembered his name so I could properly complain to management. I also witnessed his rude behavior to another guest at the bar. In recent years we normally ski Colorado and decided to go back to Red River after about a ten year hiatus. I guess this guy doesn’t understand we have options.

Food is about as expensive as one would expect at a ski lodge. That said, the food is good. Not great, but pretty good. The cool thing about this place is that one of the ski slopes ends literally AT their back door. You can actually ski down to the lodge, take off your skis, and walk in the back door.

Food is horrible. Grilled cheese was burned so bad it was inedible. The employees were not nice. I won’t ever eat there again when I’m in Red River.

Great place to take a break. I didn’t try the food, but the drinks were good and the bartenders were nice. The atmosphere was what you’d expect from a ski bar, good music at an appropriate volume. It was great for chatting with strangers while enjoying a drink and the view. The view is definitely unique, located at the bottom of “The Face”. Watching people tackle the steep slope (black) made for easy conversation and entertainment.

We stopped in and ordered burgers to go. There was no line when we arrived, which was nice. They’re only open during lift hours, which I think is 12-5 in the summer. The food was good – better than most other places we tried in Red River. The bartender who took our purse was super chatty and friendly and gave my husband some interesting alternative treatment ideas for his altitude sickness. I’m only giving 4 stars because even without a line, it took about 45 minutes for our two cheeseburgers.
