Finally got to try this place after hearing a lot about it. I was excited to try their Peking duck but was very disappointed in the amount they give you for the price. It tasted delicious and the skin was crispy, but for around $35, if I recall, for half a duck, it’s not worth it in my opinion. The soup dumplings were super disappointing as well because it had very little to no soup. Everything else tasted good though.

Our first time at this restaurant and so we order the peking duck for two($60) which was delicious and along with it comes soup (very good), fried rice (also very good) and sauteed vegetable that was really good. Plenty food and well worth the price. We also order the string beans and we love it. I gave it a 4 star because it is cash only which we did not know so we had to use their atm and paid surcharse ($2) so bring cash to avoid the use of an atm. Other than that, service is great and food is plentiful and excellent.

Been hearing a lot of good things here. Got the lunch special with duck and pork and it was delicious. The cut of the duck was a little lacking and saltier to my taste but the wonton soup was amazing. Will giver the duck another try next time.

Our family’s favorite go-to place for amazing Chinese food. The service is warm, accommodating, quick, and attentive. The food- every dish we’ve tried so far has been amazing. Hands down the best fried dumplings in NJ. Their seafood fried noodles, flounder hot pot, salt baby pork chops, fried chicken are the best.

I ordered from here last minute after I called my regular Chinese takeout place only to find out they were on summer break and boy should I have taken that as a sign. General Tsos chicken was literally just breading in sauce and was soo chewy due to the lack of meat that my 5 year old couldn’t even chew it. Everything about it was terrible. Shrimp fried rice was stale with what looked to be old pieces of carrot in it (I picked a couple out that had black on it). Asked for Mongolian beef which they don’t have, fine so they gave me some type of steak with scallion which was okay – probably the most edible and had some type of flavor. I’m never one to write reviews but when it’s like this I feel compelled to. Everyone seems to like the duck and other seafood items and I feel like if you dine in you’ll probably have a better experience but as for take out – NEVER AGAIN! It’s almost comical how bad the general Tsos chicken was

I’ve been coming to Joes for almost ten years it’s my favorite Chinese spot in New Jersey. A little pricier than some would expect but I don’t mind at all. Always good and quick service and the food has always been consistently good as well. I always come on the weekends for the fried shrimp balls, my absolute favorite! My go to dishes are Peking duck, salt and pepper seafood and sizzling beef plate. Love this place

Amazing Peking duck spread. The duck for 2 comes with so much food. The duck was tender. The fried rice was made to order and had ample flavor. The wonton soup was perfect for the cold weather. The highlight of my meal was the service. The staff was attentive and the food came out at the perfect time.

Came here for the first time, along with my spouse and two teenage children. We had a great time. The staff was very friendly and pleasant. The sit-down atmosphere was fantastic. The menu was diverse. We challenged ourselves by ordering outside our usual takeout standards. Very delicious. We all agreed we would be back.

My sister came across this place while she was picking up some duck donut next door. She told me how good the Peking duck was and I must try. I drove all the way from Philly to try this place out. I could not believe I’m just discovering this place after all these years. This place is a amazing. The food is authentic and taste better than most of the restaurants in Philly Chinatown. I’m a foodie and I would travel for food. I would not mind paying $5 toll just to come here for the food. The Peking duck is a must try and you would not be disappointed. The wonton soup was so tasty. We did the set dinner for 4. We also got the soup dumplings which I wasn’t too crazy about. The flavor was good but the skin of the soup dumplings were a bit too thick. The staff were all very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back soon to try other dishes.
