Service was ok. The food was good. I like going to Chimes because I always know that the quality of the food is dependable. The seafood is always nice. They got rid of the Lagniappe (Crab) Cake. That used to be my favorite. So that was a bummer, but that gave me a chance to explore the menu. Not sure what the brown stuff was on my plate, but we just covered it with the other plate and ate it anyway. No need to have to wait again.

The food was hot, fresh, and delicious! My sister loved the stuffed shrimp. The boudin egg rolls were delicious as well. Only downfall was they don’t serve sweet tea or lemonade.

This location wasn’t as busy and well worth the 10 minute drive down the road. The hostess was very friendly and seated my group right away. The food was delicious and lived up to the hype I had been hearing. Highly recommended.

The food and brew options are pretty darn good. Not sure if it was our bartender or what but the mixed drinks weren’t very good. The atmosphere is okay but the restaurant and bar area seem a little dirty. Otherwise I do recommend them for beer and pub grub food.

Chimes is a solid place when craving southern food. I had the red beans and rice which came with a salad and bread. The salt on the bread was a little too much. The red beans and rice tasted nice, hit the craving for sure.

I’ve visited New Orleans twice and each time I drove to Baton Rouge just to visit this place. The establishment is huge and I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be seated even on a Sunday after church. The food just melts in your mouth and my favorite thing of all the white chocolate bread pudding is to die for. The only bad thing was the hour wait for the food but it was worth it still, I just enjoyed a lot of cocktails meantime.

Had such a great experience. The food was so good and the service was excellent. Ari was exceptional. She had a great attitude and made us feel at home. She was one of the best servers I’ve ever had. Very well attentive and gave great suggestions. She was so nice and was so easy to talk to. Chimes truly did right when hiring Ari. Would definitely recommend everyone to go to Chimes.

The Chimes East on Coursey Blvd is a great spot for reasonable food options. Based on my past experiences, the has always been fresh and hot upon arrival to the table. Even with large parties, the food was fresh and hot. The servers are usually really good, and they were attentive, even if they had multiple tables during my visit. The mixed drinks are okay (hence the four stars), but they tend to add more mixers than anything. The atmosphere is an inviting one, but expect a wait to be seated as I’ve always had to wait prior to being seated. There are times I waited over an hour, but the food was good. I would recommend the restaurant if you’re looking for some Louisiana cuisine. They offer almost everything you would expect in a Louisiana home.
