Bryn was engaging…. especially with giving advice to our 1st year. ☺️. She offered to do an app with the Pimento Cheese as a dip and brought to-go boxes asap. We ordered a crabcake sandwich (amazing), Chipotle chicken wrap (5/5), and a club sandwich (HUGE… but a typical club). The Mimosa and Spicy Ranch Water were delicious! Atmosphere was super cute.

To die for Mac-n-Cheese!!! That potato cake on top of those twisty, curly cheesy noodles…I can’t even tell you how amazing it tastes when it touches your tongue. Don’t go for the side dish size, go for the entree one! Ok, I did the side dish size with the fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy because I didn’t know I should have ordered the entree size of those decadent noodles. Don’t make the same mistake!

Food was okay to very good. Waitress was friendly and attentive. The ribeye was market price at $20 the night we went and was okay. The mashed potatoes were very good. The Chicken Philly was good. The fries are seasoned, including the ones on the kids menu. Kids menu tenders came with three tenders. The regular order had four.

A perfect local spot for a drink. Great service, great vibe. Food is hot or miss but worth it for the vibe alone.

Was wary of the “market price” of the hand-cut steak, but was $1 more than other dishes. And excellent. The atmosphere was great. High female to male ratio of the clientele (on a Tuesday evening), for what it’s worth.

Took about 5 minutes to get a table with no one in front of me. Had a burger which was fine but the fries were made for composting and not actually eating them. I don’t think people come here for the food, as the establishment (now 100 years old) seems to have a lot of history behind it. In that sense it was pretty cool to eat there.

We ended up waiting over an hour and a half in total to be seated and to receive our food! Food was ok but definitely not worth that wait time. I assume the wait staff knew our wait would be long but wouldn’t give us an estimated time. Had I known we would be waiting that long, we would’ve eaten elsewhere.

This was great! The food wasn’t anything super super special, but the atmosphere and service were great. It felt old-timey in a perfect way, and our waiter was incredibly friendly. Great spot for right after our UVA tour.

The wait for our drinks and food was long. I heard the waitresses telling other patrons that they were overwhelmed. I was extremely disappointed with the fried chicken. It was overcooked yet barely warm when I received it. There was also some sort of potato pattie that was overcooked. The macaroni and cheese and coleslaw were good.

Our friends took us on a tour of UVA and recommended we stop here for lunch. Everything about it was so good! The service, the food, and the drinks. Portions were pretty good for the amount you pay for it, we didn’t even finish all our food!
