We had an amazing culinary experience at the newly opened Coto Valley Grill this past week. Chef John and his team did not miss a beat! Every course was Better than the last. Absolutely loved his Thai steak salad. The burger was fantastic and the mussels and fries were amazing. Dessert……..where do I start? Phenomenal crème brûlée. Sticky toffee pudding was to die for as was the lemon tart. My reservation for the grand opening is secure and I cannot wait to go back for lunch on May 6! Best of luck to Chef John and the entire Coto Valley Grill Team

I love this wonderful new restaurant in the Village of Coto de Caza! It is tucked away inside of the Coto Valley Country Club, but don’t let the somewhat hidden location fool you. The ambiance is lovely and the food is top notch! Diverse menu, creative presentation, and high quality ingredients make for a fabulous dining experience. We will definitely be frequenting this new local gem!

After seeing several people in the community post rave reviews of Coto Valley Grill on Facebook, we decided to check it out in June not long after they first opened for dinner. The food is absolutely amazing. My husband had the salmon dish and said that it was the best salmon dish he has ever had at any restaurant. When I asked my husband where he wanted to celebrate his birthday this weekend he didn’t hesitate to ask for Coto Valley Grill again. From the appetizers and salads to the entrees and desserts, it has all been very high quality and delicious. Even my 7 year old son is a fan. We will definitely be visiting regularly!

We’ve been waiting for this gem of a chef to finally open a place we can enjoy his amazing creative cooking so close to home. We were fortunate to have Chef John cater for a few events our family has had, and I’m sure we all would love to have him at our beck and call!! Fast forward to our Guinea pig Testing of the menu- and our dreams have come true! The Coto Valley Grill is a lovely addition to Coto and to the OC finer dining options- but certainly without pretense. It’s easy, healthy and fresh food…. With a few delectable “naughty” indulgences (say a hearty YES to the sticky toffee pudding on special!). Amazing food, preparation and creativity. Don’t miss what’s truly a treasure in our own back yard!! Won’t disappoint.

Chef John and the entire staff are truly amazing! We had a wonderful experience dining at the Coto Valley Grill. The food was SOOO good! The steak was so tender and flavorful and the Mac and cheese was delicious. Chef John came out to check on us and was so wonderful. We can’t wait to go back!

We enjoyed a fabulous dining experience at this new restaurant located at the Coto Valley Country Club. The ambience was perfect and the service excellent. Chef John prepared very creative and delicious dishes. The sticky toffee pudding was to die for. We also loved the chicken tacos and the peach Bellinis! Highly recommend!

Chef John did an AMAZING job with our wedding menu! Our wedding was on July 30, 2022 and we are still oohh and ahhh’ing about how incredible everything went and how professional John and Daniella are! In addition we had the best bartenders that everyone LOVED! Thank you Jordan for all of your help and guidance with bar drinks for our wedding! Chef John—thank you sooo incredibly much for your insight and professionalism and for giving us the wedding catering of our dreams! Everything was absolutely perfect and I truly mean that. We are continuing to receive constant compliments regarding our food and how everything tasted! Dinner was wonderful! Food was fabulous (and beautiful, picture worthy)! This is a hidden gem within the gates of Coto. Went there for girls night out … we passed our plates around because it was that good … had to try them all! Will definitely be going back. Highly recommend if you enjoy culinary art.
