Right on the main road, this was one of the very few Indian restaurants in OBX. The restaurant was empty and we were the only customers at lunch time.

Excellent delicious Food and superlative service. We could taste the subtle differences from the regular Indian food. Freshly made and the waiter was most attentive.

Please don’t waste your time going to Himalaya Indian Cuisine. I really wish I would have read some of the reviews before going, because I would have not wasted my time either. We went there with a party of 9, and we ended up turning right around and walking out the door, because the customer service was HORRIBLE. The lady questioned me for standing to the side while everyone was trying to sit down, and she barked at one of us for trying to move another small table closer, so we could have more room to eat. Meanwhile, there was absolutely no customers in sight when we walked in, so I’m not too sure why adding another table would have been such a big deal. When we said screw this and walked out, the lady sarcastically told us to have a nice day. Also, the place smelled like feet. Instead of this dump, we decided to drive about a minute up the road to a very delicious Sanya Sushi Bar Japanese and Chinese Cuisine, where we ended up spending over $240. If you ask me, then I would suggest you go to Sanya’s place and spend your time and money there too.

The food was just average. We got samosas, palak paneer and butter chicken. We asked for medium spice and the butter chicken was almost sweet. The price for the serving size was very steep- most Indian restaurants I have been to I usually have leftovers for days, but we were able to finish everything in one sitting.

As a first-timer, I was unsure of what to get. My friend and I got the Samosa Chat (appetizer), which was lovely, and my entree was the Chicken Curry (mild spice), which was wonderful. As we were leaving, we were offered something sweet to try. She gave us the Gulab Jamun. Those were absolute heaven. I was not disappointed in the least, nice atmosphere and such a sweet, friendly person.

Probably the worst Indian food I have had in the USA. The Shahi Paneer was just water and Paneer. Some items are overpriced.

Just left this amazing restaurant and the food is absolutely scrumptious. They make everything from scratch and so authentic. If y’all haven’t been there yet, you are missing out.

I can train a monkey to take an accurate order than folks working at this restaurant. The food was below par and the atmosphere made us feel like we were having dinner at some shelter place. Employees have attitude and they refuse to acknowledge their mistakes.
