Everything my family ordered was EXTREMELY salty. My husband had a hard time on the way home trying to keep his food down because of the salt. The beans and cheese are really good though. The food was only bad because of the amount of salt. We would only go back for the beans and cheese.

We just moved to the area and were looking for authentic Mexican food, and were delighted to find Los Compadres. They have a terrific menu and everything we have tried so far tastes super-fresh and delicious. Our first visit, I had the alambre – the steak was perfect, the corn tortillas taste like fresh homemade, the beans and rice were perfect, and there was so much food I had to take half of it home. My husband had the torta, and he said it was really good – and he’s picky about his tortas. We had our kids join us the next time with a take-out order and their burritos looked amazing. The food is really delicious and the staff are friendly and helpful. Expect a wait time, as they seem really busy and popular and this is real food – not fast food – so order a horchata or michelada and enjoy the company of friends – the food is worth waiting for. I’m looking forward to going again very soon!

Good Food , I ordered Chicken Chimichanga, It was very Good. I do not recommend kids cheeseburger because they grill the buns on the outside. Kids think its brunt, and the meat was a little bit tuff. All their Mexican Food is Awesome.

I finally got out to Rutledge to have some dinner with my friend, we went here by his recommendation. He went on and on about this place.. and I’m no slouch when I comes to Mexican food, it’s taken pretty seriously in my family, so I was excited to give it a try! Ordered the Fajita dinner special and a Chile relleno…it was absolutely delicious, needless to say it did not dissapoint, and neither did the restaurant! Fresh chips, delicious salsa, friendly and fast waitstaff, fairly inexpensive even. Overall this place is hands down some of the best traditional Mexican food I have had in East Tennessee! I will be going back!

Got take out from this spot for the first time. I ordered 2 tamales and the torta los compadres. The tamales were good and you could probably get full on those alone. On the menu it says the torta was supposed to come with cheese and avacado on it, mine didn’t have either, still it taste fine. A buddy ordered the boy’s pollo said he liked it.
