This place used to be Andy’s a pretty good Chinese place but new owner and it sucks. The service was horrible. The waitress didnt even cone back to fill our water glasses nor ask how things were. So when the check came i wasnt going to leave a 15% tip or even 10%. Then she came back and told us that we must leave a 10% tip. I started to say something but my father told me to leave it. I will never return there again.

They changed owners recently, I was pleasantly surprised that the new owner was the same owner that had a restaurant near my work that I used to visit frequently. Glad to see them back, good food and service. Check out the sweet rice and chicken dish. You have to order ahead of time but it was good and serves like 4 people. I’ll be back now that I know it’s a previous restaurant that I’ve been too.

Lots of people like this place. How’s the food? I don’t know…I never got any! Went in at 11am and ordered 2 items to go. Told 15 minutes. 3 men got up and left with no food – man at counter told them to order take-out and they wanted sit down. 3 other tables were eating in – they had food. 3 men were angry and left when they wouldn’t be served. I went to the market next door and was back 2 min past my 15 wait time. 1 item was sitting on the counter, open – another woman told me it had come right up and had been sitting there “quite awhile.” I asked if my whole order was ready = no. I waited a total of 33 minutes and the other half never came up and the first 1/2 was cold. He wouldn’t give me my money back; counter man insisted I take the cold first potstickers and he would give me money for the dumplings. He thought I should wait longer because two different cooks were needed = 1 for pot stickers and another for dumplings. Really? No other tables came in. 1 other take-out came in. Not busy! Meanwhile pot stickers are sitting out and cold. I said I had waited long enough and needed to go as others were waiting in the car for me. He just pushed the cold food towards me, and a few bucks. I left both. I left the restaurant. We eat at two other places in the stripe mall, but we’ll never go back to nor eat at HKR Andy’s Chinese Restaurant!

This place is always busy but good. I love all the salt and pepper dishes they have especially the salt and pepper Rock cod and the salt and pepper tofu so yummy. Call ahead ya might have to call a couple times to get through
