Ran out of tenders, took a while to order, kind of strange vibes (12th hour) butttt, awesome spicy chicken sandwich! That ghost pepper mayo packs a kick. Chicken was thick and moist, crunchy coating, great bun, nice slaw, good pickles. Next time I’ll get the classic chicken sandwich and tenders and ghost pepper mayo and ranch on the side. They ran out of water. Don’t serve spicy chicken sandwiches and run out of water, that’s just cruel!

This chicken shop would pop up in my Yelp searches frequently, so I thought I would give it a try since it is locally owned! I was really happy to see that it is operated inside of the Food Lounge of Santa Cruz. A very cozy indoor and outdoor shared space. Lots of seating!

Had my eye on this place definitely glad we tried it! Got the Nashville hot with Sriracha mayo and coleslaw. With a side of Mac and cheese. Chicken was juicy and flavourful perfect heat. Eating outside under the moon light was a plus quick friendly service great price!

There is a lack of fried chicken options here in Santa Cruz, but with Chubbs there is no need for any other options. Every worker here is extremely positive and kind which is so surprising considering how busy this place gets every night. I always stick with the Nashville Style Chicken Sandwich with coleslaw and man does it hit the spot every time. Absolutely recommend this place and it is gluten free friendly! 5/5.

I was not expecting this to be this delicious! The chicken is like a whole chicken breast! It’s huge! I got the Nashville chicken sandwich with spicy habanero-ghost pepper mayo! It was spicy! But absolutely delicious! I would ask for the mayo on the side if you want to control the heat. Also mayo is great for fries! They dip the breaded chicken in spicy oil. If you don’t like spicy the fried chicken sandwich is great too! I would share an order of fries because that’s alot of fried food! It’s delicious no matter how you order. It’s only open after 5pm because it’s a shared business location with a coffee shop and bar! Super idea! Honestly, I was a little worried at first because its through back door but it’s delicious! Must try! Bonus gluten free bread!

I work in the food industry and I’ve tried a lot of fried chicken. This is by far the best fried chicken sandwich in town. A small hole-in-the-wall type restaurant that has a simple menu but delivers on the quality of their food. Definitely going to come here again.

We are visiting from Kansas City. This was out last meal before we left town based on a suggestion from an attendant within the Skate Shop on the Wharf. This was one of the best chicken sandwiches we have eaten. My 13 year old son loved the Nashville Chicken Sandwich. Compliments to all om this amazing chicken sandwich and great outdoor seating.

Do not miss out on this spot!! The chicken is amazing – crispy, juicy, and flavorful. The dipping sauces are superb, our favorite being the home made ghost pepper sauce (all sauces are homemade). The fries also did not disappoint. I would definitely recommend stopping here if you’re passing through or a local; the staff is so welcoming and pleasant.

I’m surprised about the almost universal praise. I got the non spicy Chicken sandwich and I felt it was pretty bland. Also got the mashed potatoes and they were tremendously plain – they tasted like boiled potatoes with no seasoning or even salt. The mac and cheese was average. Fries too salty. Again, I’m truly surprised this place has the reviews it does. Apart from the nice cashier/staff, everything is either not good or middling.
