We drove past this food truck twice and almost gave up looking for it! So keep your eyes peeled, it’s tucked in a corner. The service was quick and the food was tasty. They had easy to identify vegetarian options. There weren’t any seating options when we went.

First of all, we couldn’t find the quesadilla we ordered and thought they had forgotten it… turns out it’s one tiny tortilla folded over- like the smallest tortilla you can find at Walmart. Also it seemed like it was made with Parmesan cheese. We ordered extra cilantro and onions and got none – literally not even a leaf of cilantro. I opened up my regular sized tacos to find what I genuinely thought were the mini ones. They were dryer than the Sahara Desert. They were cold on top of that. The corn cup was straight up mayo and cheese with maybe a spoon of corn. Oh and when they say mini taco they really mean mini. That thing looked like it was made for a Barbie.

So I am currently staying at The Canopy at Riverwalk. So I decided to get tacos for dinner. Did a little bit of research and decided for Tacos El Regio due to the high volume of good reviews it has. So as a Mexican I know a good taco when I get one. When I got my order the tortilla looked and tasted so bland and also the meat. It was like my friend Hunter from Minnesota saw a youtube video on how to make tacos and this was his interpretation. Sooooo bland, So I decided to put the salsa that I ordered, which I ordered red and green separately, but got 3 little bags of a combination of green and red salsa. I put a small amount of salsa to each taco and don’t get me wrong the flavor was there but after that I was with my mouth open and saliva flowing and snot, my face was reeed!! I was sooo spicy that It was not a good experience. for 12 SMALL tacos it was 45 bucks. Totally not worth it!!

One of my fav spots for street tacos just 2 issues, I request NO CILANTRO on all of my orders and it almost never fails that they cover my tacos in cilantro. Second, parking is atrocious on St Marys St which makes it difficult to frequent it as much as I’d like.

Always worth the drive to these tacos. Even with all the construction on St. Mary’s, we don’t mind going. The quesadillas and charro beans are also fantastic. The green sauce is amazing, it’s so good I have yet to try the red sauce.

Overall positive experience when trying veggie tacos at this food truck for the first time this week. Situated in a busy area known as “The Strip” on N. St. Mary’s, I managed to catch this truck while there was no line. I ordered 3 veggie tacos, which included beans, cheese, tomato, cilantro, lettuce, avocado, and queso fresco. This includes a choice of red or green sauce. I requested red salsa without avocados on a corn tortilla. My tacos were provided to me on a plastic plate including sliced limes wrapped in foil inside a bag. The red salsa was provided in a plastic baggie, which was meant to be bitten off at the end to add into the tacos. They also had can sodas and Mexican sodas available along with other sides for sweet cravings such as peaches and cream and arroz con leche. My tacos were delicious, flavorful, filling, and fresh. I would definitely return again, especially since there are additional veggie options available such as tortas.

We ordered the torta. Unfortunately, there was hardly any meat in it and it was also very bland. The only thing you can taste is the beans. Pretty disappointing since there was some good reviews on here. I’d give it a try again if they improve the quality or at least marinate the meats better.
