Serving our neighbors since 1984, Buffalo Grille is proudly owned and operated by our 7th generation Texas family. Originally, we were located on Buffalo Speedway, next to the iconic Buffalo Pharmacy, hence our name “Buffalo Grille”. Serving breakfast and lunch only for 18 years, we decided it was time to try our hand at some hearty dinner dishes…. of course it’s still o.k. to order chocolate pancakes for dinner.
In 2001, Buffalo Grille roamed “West” a few miles to the Tanglewood area in Houston, opening a second location at 1301 S. Voss. Many of our longtime customers were pleased to see familiar faces in the kitchen led by our General Manager, José Arniva. José was the first employee ever to be hired by The Buffalo Grille back in 1984

Quiet, clean dining away from the crowds! Parking was easy, and we were able to walk right up to the counter and order inside. The restaurant is small but roomy and very clean and modern. The outdoor dining would be nice on a cool evening.

Very good food! Casual, go up and order a type of restaurant. The fish tacos were incredibly well seasoned. The cornbread is very good. Even the chicken tenders were moist and tasted great. Wonderful kids menu. Cute little place!

Amazing food with even better service. We had the build your own omelette with Turkey, avocado, and beans. Also the biscuits and gravy with a mimosa and toasted cinnamon coffee. Everything was on point and instantly became our new favorite breakfast spot on the island. Will be back to try their lunch menu very soon.

I cannot overstate how idyllic this restaurant is. It reminds me of the show The Good Place. It is literally right in the middle of an adorable rainbow-colored (probably expensive) residential neighborhood. But the restaurant is casual/counter-service and there is seating both indoors and outdoors. It was a lovely afternoon so I ate outside where the tables are nicely spread out around a small lawn with giant board games. There is also a gazebo right on the water with tables around there too. And the food was great with huge portion sizes. I had chicken fried steak and it was one of the best chicken fried steaks I’ve had. The bad ones always have way too much breading compared to the meat, but this one was properly coated and nice and juicy. Afterwards I took a walk around the lake which turned out to be a great spot for bird-watching. There is a parking lot right along the water with plenty of spots. One of my new favorite spots in Galveston far away from the tourist crowds.

This was the first time here while visiting Galveston. It was a really cute spot in a location with beautiful views. So we made sure to sit outside. Though the day was a little gray when we went. The food was good, though nothing out of this world, and good portion sizes.

The food and the location!! One of the best breakfast places I’ve come across. The weather was beautiful and having the meal by the water was the highlight. It was such a delightful experience that it had me smiling all day long. We ordered seafood for our brunch and it was delicious. We were so full by the end of our meal that we sat and spend some time on the swings overlooking the lake. I think it’s rare we find amazing food at such pretty locations. I’d love to go back when I visit again. Do try it out if you’re in the area. You’ll love it!

No, No, and NO!!! The family and I walk in this little restaurant thinking it would be a nice place to sit down and enjoy a nice breakfast at a locally owned spot. To our surprise. The owner quickly tells us where the menus are located and tells us we can sit anywhere. Nothing wrong there. As we’re looking through our menu we notice another large family enter the restaurant. It just so happens to be a “white family”. As they entered the owner quickly handed them their menus, they were informed about the outside ameneties and asked if they wanted something to drink. Then the owner approached us and informed us that we needed to place our order at the counter. My wife and I looked at each other and agreed to leave the establishment. This place robbed themselves of a blessig because of their racial profiling. What a shame. My family and I will not be returning to this place.

Delicious Pecan Chicken with orkas and coleslaw and a Buffalo Burger with Sweet Potatoe Fries was AMAZING in Taste and not overcooked that it makes it kind of dry! Roll was so soft and butter just melt off. So Taste!! Must go check out! Oh and my Brucee enjoyed the environment in the patio. Pet friendly outside.
