I had the breakfast. The grits had a microwave grits texture, not the smooth texture you get from well simmered grits. And the sausage tasted good but it too seemed like it was microwaved not cooked on a grill. There wasn’t any sort of char at all. The fresh cut tomatoes and green onions were nice. All in all the flavor was good. But nothing to write home about.

Shirley and her staff make for an absolute real-life community experience at the Scenic View in Birmingham, AL. The cafe is positioned 2blocks from the BHAM city walk-way and the city Visitor Center. Most notably, the food and coffee is outstanding, thoughtfully prepared and she and her staff are absolute warm and delightful folk to greet your day or lunch hour with in community with BHAM. Thank you so much taking care of me while I was visiting! I can’t wait to come back and reconnect with the community there! Sincerely, EAR

I think she uses an air fryer to cook the food especially the bacon. The bacon was barely cooked at all. The eggs which is in the styrofoam container the dark colored one was not even edible. So over cooked .The grits I got had black pepper sprinkled on top but when I went to taste them it tasted like nothing at all but dry grits no seasoning. I have tried this place two time before with the same results. I wanted to give them another chance.I will not go back again and waste money. The food is not good to me at all. The staff is very nice and they are pleasant so I hate leaving bad reviews but I didn’t eat anything but the biscuit and gravy and spent $12.00 on it. So no I won’t waste my money and give them any more chances.

We are in town visiting from NC for the Birmingham Bowl and always try to eat local. We happened upon this little place and decided to give it a try. The staff was warm and welcoming and the food was great. Everyone needs to try the tomato bisque. It’s delicious!!

Very kind people that greet you as you enter. Food was very good. So glad I stopped by. It’s a bit of a hole in the wall place but definitely worth the stop.

Driving by and noticed this place was opened on a Sunday. I parked and went inside and was totally surprised. As soon as I walked in, I was welcome and greeted by the staff. It was nice to know that the placed was opened because of a special event that was happening in the area. I wanted something lite and fresh… so I went with the Chicken Salad and I added it onto the Veggie Salad…which was an AMAZING!!!! Will definitely be back and HIGHLY recommend this convenient little spot.
