The Thelewala chicken roll, it was excellent. Chicken marinated in green salsa with eggs, onions. So much flavor. I only wish it was a little bigger. Next time I’d order two.

Food here is pretty good for the price. Keep in mind if they say it’s spicy, it is super spicy even if you have a high tolerance! I dropped a star for their masala chai. We didn’t get any taste of spices expected in masala chai, it was just a good chai.

This place is a disappointment. Positives are that the chicken was still moist and the roll was loaded with green chilies and tangy pickled onions. On the other hand, spices have an uncooked taste and the flavors are totally inauthentic. All the writeups in Zagat and the news articles feel absolutely questionable and uniformed. Come here if you have no idea what a Nizam’s roll tastes like. Otherwise be prepared to have your itch for nostalgia be thoroughly unscratched.

Food is average, not up to the mark or what the dish name suggests .

If you are someone who loves chaat or rolls then this place is for you. Place is very small and lovely but gets very crowded during weekends. I tried their bhel puri and it was delicious. We also tried their chatpata paneer roll and trust me the taste truly describes its name. Definitely worth a try and rates are nominal too.

Hands down the best roll I have had in New York yet. Worth the visit. I wish they served some kind of chutney or sauce with it. However it was pretty yummy and we loved the chat pata paneer roll.

Thelewala is a Indian Cart food concept food joint in NYC. The place itself is very small and hardly has 4 – 5 seats for dine in. The food was okay but definitely not as the reviews say the best kati roll. The thelewala chicken roll was good. The best item was Jhalmuri, it was spicy and delicious.

This is our regular place. The veg rolls are really yummy. I havent had good experience with the chicken ones. We once ordered the phal chicken rolls and it was not eatable given the chillies(picture attached) in it. Its hot but I disnt expect to be chillies rolled in paratha with very less chicken.

The place is Tiny and can only accommodate 6 people at a given time but the takeout orders were swamping in and the food was delicious so don’t hesitate, get in and enjoy the food.
