On of my favorite places here in Temescal. Food is excellent. Menu changes often so you never get bored but also could get disappointed when you order the same thing and it looks different.

Good pizza in Oakland in a restaurant row. Spacious restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. It has a wood burning traditional over and they use good quality fresh ingredients. Pizza is good sized and they have full bar and many drink selections. Parking is a bit challenging as there are many restaurants in area that are also well trafficed.

The head chef Anthony is immensely talented. My dining experience was 10/10 and I would recommend Pizzaiolo to anyone looking for an experience. The space itself is tastefully decorated and provides a nice ambiance to enjoy your meal. The food itself was a genuine delight, with Anthony and his team serving creative, vibrant, and delicious dishes. I had the melon dish, avocado dish, olives, and corn. I can say Anthony is a world class chef and I would enjoy eating his food on any occasion. You can observe the teamwork in the kitchen as he and his sous-chef masterfully prepared a large volume of dishes. Wait time for the food was slightly above average but the quality more than made up for it. Head chef Anthony also creates the playlist for the restaurant, and the music was a 10/10 as well. The bartenders prepared 2 remarkable cocktails for us and professionally spaced our meal out so we could enjoy each dish. They make a great team, though one area of improvement that I would recommend is their communication between them.

Love this place, great salads, pizza is awesome, and if you’re lucky enough to have the meatballs on the menu I would order it asap. Great vibes only knock is that the bar is small and not much to chose from.

I’d recommend Pizzaiolo to anyone. Great cocktails, the salads were fantastic, loved the back patio, really exciting menu. The pizzas were good but, other than the margherita, they fell a little short when compared to similar East bay restaurants.

We were a party of four, plus a toddler. It’s first come, first seated at Pizzaiolo, and we were lucky to be first in line. We got a super outdoor table, and the service was exceptional.

My husband and I were planning a small wedding in April and, in searching for a place to have our dinner reception, we found Pizzaiolo. The second we checked it out, we knew it was right. The quality of food at Pizzaiolo is really impressive and they make patio dining feel intimate and fun at the same time. We are so happy with our choice to have them host our reception. Everything was better than expected and the staff was so sweet and welcoming. The vibe was very laid-back but it was the perfect way to celebrate with our close friends and family. Maggie set up the whole thing and she was amazingly helpful, planning the menu and making sure everything was prepared. She was also responsive to all my questions and helped me with various details in the planning process. Thank you to Maggie and everyone at Pizzaiolo for treating us so well and sharing an unforgettable day with us!

This place was good. My only thing that I disliked was the wait time. For 2 people on a Sunday night took 45 mins. We almost gave up, but we were too invested. We ended up sharing a table with another couple. The pizza was great and the antipasta was very good. The salads here are great. All great choices. Cocktails are good too. I would return and hope the wait times aren’t too long next time.

Okay pizza, I wasn’t impressed. The pizza has too much emptu crust and they make it too spicy. The melon prosciutto salad was great, but too expensive for the amount of food. There’s a nice patio in the back.

This is my top choice pizza place in East Bay. The pepperoni, jalapeño and honey pizza is pretty remarkable. The pizza in general is a great blend of napoletana standards but not so pretentious that they can’t have a little fun with it.
