If I could give no stars I would. My son and I went there this AM for breakfast. The reviews were excellent. It was a horrible experience. It started with my coffee, there was what looked like coffee grounds floating everywhere. Typically I wouldn’t care much, but there was a larger thing float and I couldn’t tell what it was. The waitress was rude from the start. Horrible attitude, clearly did not want to be there. I asked for another cup of coffee to which she reluctantly got. Left my other cup of coffee on the table. We couldn’t even put out drinks down on the table due to it wobbling around so much it kept spilling and going through the cracks onto my feet and purse. It took about 30-35 minutes to get our food in an almost empty diner. My son first noticed his scrambled eggs were runny, so I cut into my omelette, to which was completely undercooked. I let the cook know (whom I think is the owner) he was extremely rude and disrespectful. He said it was the cheese. I am a chef myself so I can tell the difference. He made some rude comments to me in front of the few customers that were there and made another one. The waitress came over and pretty much threw the plate on the table and walked away. At that point I was done and my son was so disgusted he wanted to leave. The cook asked in a sarcastic manner of it was better, I was so disgusted also with the service and attitude, I asked for a box and at least one of the waitresses was nice (at the front counter) and brought a box. The waitress came over and with a snotty attitude told me what I owed. I told her that being rude to customers isn’t a way to have them come back and that we live in town. She said nothing, no apology or anything. We will never refer anyone to them or ever go back there again. I have provided photos of the runny eggs on my food and my sons. And no, there’s no cheese on his scrambled eggs.

I got a bacon, egg and cheese on a hard roll and one choc chip pancake, my fiancé got a burger that came with fries. Everything was phenomenal! The pancake was HUGE. Fair prices and staff was welcoming. We sat inside because it was on and off raining but it looked like they have outdoor seating.

Very cool rail car style diner. The owner / chef is very engaging and makes you feel at home. The menu has diverse selections. He has an interesting “Breakfast Challenge” that allows you to eat a stack of food for free or pay up. My over-easy eggs were cooked perfectly. The home fries were good. The ham steak was very good and the rye toast didn’t morph into fiber board after 2.69 minutes like most diners. Looking forward to a revisit.

Last year’s maple syrup glued to tables. Very gross tacky table tops. Waitress got the orders correct and was curteous. Warmed coffee several times.

Revisited this morning to enjoy a two egg western omelette with home fries and rye toast. My partner liked his Belgian waffle with bacon. We had an agreeable exchange of dialogue with the owner and a senior solo patron who came in for coffee and a blueberry muffin. I was given a taste of his Philly cheese steak omelette as he was preparing some for a take-out breakfast wrap. Nice flavors. The omelette was very good and the bacon perfectly cooked through and crispy from the grill. Still need to try his chili dog!

Small diner like diners of old. The owner tried to keep the small diner feel, but also added an outdoor seated area for distancing purposes. The food was good, you get great portion sizes. I couldn’t eat both pancakes. The owner is very friendly and will talk it up with you if you like to chat. They’re open Sunday – Saturday 5am – 3pm. They will be adding delivery soon from 8am – 2pm, with a $5.00 delivery fee. He will be opening a steak and seafood place down the road, around June if you’d like to support small business.

This is a perfect example of “a diamond in the rough”. Drove right past the diner and commented on how tiny and cute it looked from the outside. We decided to make a u- turn and went in for breakfast. The menu is simple and to the point. The prices are great and the food was delicious. Being able to sit there and watch our breakfast being prepared is quite a treat. As we ate, we struck up a convo with the owner/chef and the waitress. Learned about the history of the building which was interesting. If I ever find myself in the area again, I’ll be sure to stop by again.

The Chili Omelet and The Western are my 2 favorites! You can tell the owner cares about his food. The chili is homemade and has a nice kick to it!

Friendly local place where we had a pleasant breakfast. Note that this place serves breakfast and lunch, no dinner.
