We had breakfast at Royal House Restaurant. Unfortunately for us it was a bit too warm outside to enjoy the balcony. Our food was good and the portions they serve are huge. We found the service was just a bit flat but certainly adequate. Overall this was an enjoyable just not memorable experience.

We had a group of 12. The waiter was pleasant at first but could tell she was slightly overwhelmed as time passed .

The Char Grilled oysters can be outstanding or merely rather good. My first CG oysters were delicious, my second order a few days later had less coating to soak up the liquor and were only fair.

Our favorite place we ate in New Orleans! The did the Tour of New Orleans and enjoyed tasting jambalaya, red beans and rice, gumbo and etouffee! We had alligator bites and my husband had bread pudding. He said it was the best bread pudding he’s ever had and he loves bread pudding! Our waitress was very friendly and sweet. She helped us decide on what to order. Highly recommend!

Paul was our server and he was GREAT! He was newer but did an Awesome job of making us feel welcomed and was super polite. We had Oysters (only knock is they were on the warmer side) and the Ribeye (absolutely delicious…..especially the sauce). I was also pleasant they offered a Military Discount….Thank you. Decor was great, staff was great especially Paul our server and the poor girl with the bum knee up front….she is a trooper forsure and they should give her a raise. Atmosphere was outstanding. Definitely visit and I will come back sometime when the Wife and I don’t have the kids with us. And the HURRICANES WERE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

Words can’t even describe how much I loved this place. I’m not going to lie, I was hesitant about eating here since I’m not a huge seafood person. However, it has come to my attention that I just haven’t had seafood prepared well.

This place is hard to leave a review for. The food is 100% the best in the French Quarter. Everything was exceptional. The service was great! Kevin was our server and he took fantastic care of us. We will be going back for more before we leave town and will visit every time we come back. Thank you, Royal House. You guys are killing it!

Best jambalaya we’ve ever had! Red beans and rice were great, as was the etouffee. The service and staff were fast and friendly. Terrific ambiance. Definitely recommend!

Food quality is not worth the stop or the price. We both ordered the rib eye with garlic fries, it was really fatty/gristly. The husbands steak was almost 40% fat, I would have never sent it from the kitchen to be served. He will eat almost anything but this was gross and he was hungry soon after dinner. Don’t bother going here.
