This buffet is inside a beautiful old home from the 1800’s. They have a cute little set up and provide a sanitation station. The food is a little bland but juicy and flaky. The biscuits were everything and the peanut butter pie was delicious. The service was friendly and inviting. All for about $12 a person for lunch. Our server said they no longer do breakfast but have seafood Fridays in the evening with a variety of options fried, boiled and stuffed.

Magnolia Place is a wonderful restaurant in downtown Winder that offers delicious food, beautiful surroundings, and excellent service. The homemade meals are served buffet style and include quite a few options. For example, on today’s lunch menu were mashed potatoes, green beans, fried okra, macaroni and cheese, pinto beans, butterbeans, white gravy, brown gravy, country fried steak, ham, chicken tenders, meatballs, and biscuits. Desserts ranged from peach cobbler to a variety of pies (like key lime) and cakes (like carrot). No matter when I visit this restaurant the quality and service are excellent. Magnolia Place restaurant has become a personal favorite of mine.

Everything they served taste delicious and price is not bad considering it’s a buffet restaurant. It’s located inside a historic old house and you can park accross the street.

Very cool old Victorian type house. Food was good, not great. I have nothing to complain about, except the price. It is about $17 a person for buffet and a drink. I understand we are living in a world of Brandon’s inflation, but prices could have been a little more reasonable. All in all I recommend.

This place is a step back in time for the atmosphere in a historic home and quality southern cuisine. Yes, it is a buffet, and there are small tables all around the downstairs spread throughout the house. But if you have ever eaten at one of these venues, this is how they do it. Most of these types of restaurants closed their doors for one reason or another, so it was refreshing when my wife and I stumbled upon The Magnolia Place Restaurant.

My husband and I tried this place, for the first time, this past Easter Sunday. The only good thing I have to say about this restaurant is that it is a nice atmosphere, in an old Victorian house, except that instead of having dining furniture more in keeping with the time period of the house, it has cheap tables and chairs. Also on the negative side, the food was mediocre (at best), the buffet was small and the food very unappealing. The (so called) Squash and Sweet Potato Casseroles were more like purees. I don’t know if the food is always so low-grade, but unless they hire a better cook, we won’t be dining there again. Also, for the price, it was a major disappointment! And it’s a shame because we just found out about this restaurant and were hoping to make it a regular place for us to dine.

The only thing I can say negative about this place is that it gets busy. The food is the reason it gets so busy as well. The Banana Pudding will disappear in minutes… The mashed potatoes that she does by hand get gone as well… I ain’t even going to say when I come and for what, because I don’t want to battle any more people for fried shrimp. Ask yourself when you see a negative review on here about how there is nothing but scrapings left in the pan and how they should have more food out… the food is so good at an all you eat buffet people destroy that nights prepared food… Me and my wife love the food but we are smart and get there early!

Delicious food as always! The owner is the cook and her baked macaroni and cheese is so awesome and best homemade banana pudding like Moma use to make!
