Had a short layover in Iowa city and was in the mood for onion rings. Lemme tell you….these were thr best. The rings itself are an actual meal. Lol the jambalaya was delicious but the star was the ONION RINGS.

Fantastic food, great service, classic Irish Pub atmosphere. My daughter says it’s the best French Onion Soup in Iowa City; the Rueben is to die for, just perfect. Looking forward to returning!

We had lunch on Sunday mother’s Day. When we arrived it was really busy but we were able to find one table. We did have to wait a bit for service due to the number of people. This place has a variety of dishes including burgers and other sandwiches. I had fish and chips. The food was really great and obviously handmade. They have some unique coffee liqueur drinks. They had Irish coffee as well as a cinnamon and butterscotch flavored liqueur coffees. I enjoyed my visit and will be back.

Busy place, clearly a local favorite. Food was all good although fried food were a little over-fried. Cajun fries and beer cheese mashed a good combination.

Just starting. This menu looks impressive. The meals we’ve tried are spot on. Be sure to try the four layer dip.

Really enjoyed it. The food was great, and the waitress was good. The problem was the kitchen was slow and it wasn’t busy. If you are not in a hurry, go.

Came to Iowa City for a college tour and ended up at Micky’s based on a recommendation. The pretzel bites were really good, the jambalaya (pictured) was excellent and the tortilla soup was good too! Dined here on a Friday night and the place was really loud, like you have to yell kind of loud. I’d come back here in a minute for the jambalaya. Yum!

Very delicious Bacon Cheeseburger. Properly done. Great crinkle-cut fries. Beautiful wood 1870 bar and back bar.
