I’ve had my eye on District Dumplings for some time and got to stop in today. Since it was just me eating lunch, I went with the standard order of pork & shrimp dumplings (10pc) and the Hong Kong shumai (8pc). My wife grabbed a drink and didn’t realize for just that the total was just over $32 (admittedly that’s on me for not giving the prices a better review.)

The staff was nice, but the dumplings were not very tasty and not having plates made it messy and uncomfortable to eat. The best tasting were the shrimp dumplings but they fell apart. The edamame dumplings had a dry starchy filling and not very flavorful. The dough wasn’t fully cooked. The Buddha dumplings however were way too salty. The other ones we tried were also unremarkable. The soup dumplings came out already broken. The whole meal ended up being expensive.

So good! Went on a Tuesday during my lunch break around noon and ordered the 10 dumplings for $13 combo. My favorite is the beef curry flavor. Waited around 10 minutes. The dumplings were hot and juicy, lots of filling and good size. 10 were enough to fill me up. I’ll definitely be coming back 🙂

Seriously so impressed with this place. You’ve got to try the shrimp dumpling special with the house sauce. The texture was sooo perfect. Also loved all the options for the pick 10 dumplings dish. The lemongrass chicken was our favorite but all were tasty. I loved all of the vegetarian options as well. I tried a few squash and cheese dumplings and loved the flavor combination. Would 100% recommend and come back.

After ordering I watched the young man take dumplings out of the freezer and then throw them on a steamer. ( might I add he never asked if I wanted steamed or fried ). He then disappeared behind the Counter. The ambulance is just the sound of the refrigerator with some light/quiet music. After the food was ready the young man brought over the food and didn’t tell me which one of my dumplings were which. On top of the fact he gave me the wrong food. The dumplings tasted like h-mart dumplings.

Everything was just okay. The steamed dumplings didn’t have much in the flavor department and the wrapping was very thick at the top making it very chewy. When you go to a handmade dumpling place you expect a little more love in them but they weren’t any better than ones you could pickup at Hmart right down the street.

Great dumplings! Obsessed! Would have given them 5 stars if they have allergy chart. My husband is allergic to Sesame and they can’t let us know if the dumplings has some. Would have been helpful for other customers. But all in all, it was amazing.
