There’s limited seating available, so plan on going at a slower time. The service was great and cheerful, and the food was pretty good. There was something off about the wasabi that I couldn’t put my finger on, but it wasn’t bad. I had hoped my sushi was a bit spicier. My son said the ramen was really good.

Well priced place for ramen, sushi, and teriyaki. Kid friendly if your kids like lo mein, sushi, or chicken teriyaki. I always get the bento box special with soup or salad, a California roll, rice and chicken teriyaki. Yum! Can eat in or take out. Dining area small but adequate.

The Shogun is great place to go sit down and have fresh Japanese food with table service. They also have take out should you just want to swing by and pick it up. All the food is made to order and everything I have ordered in my numerous visits has been very good. The staff are friendly and very efficient. I recommend the fresh sushi and you can’t go wrong with one of their Bento Box meals. Prices are very reasonable here. Highly recommend you give them a try.

Quick Pit stop on the way home from the airport, I was hungry! To tell you the truth, it wasn’t my favorite, it served it’s purpose but I’ve had better sushi. One of my sampler pieces was slimy, couldn’t eat it. Monkey roll was too skinny, had good taste though with all the sauces.

Smaller joint, but expectations of decent service were fair. 2 servers were sitting down to a table to my right, taking their break, sipping soup, watching whatever on their phones. I ordered an appetizer of Tuna & Yellowtail Sashimi & Inari Sushi, with thoughts of ordering sushi dinner to go. Since these were the portions I received, I was turned off to ordering further.

First time at Shogun. Lunchtime business was slow, maybe due to windy, chilly February. We were seated quickly. Drink orders taken and served fast. Shogun is a small strip mall diner with small, medium tables along one wall and a dark unadorned wall on the opposite side. Perhaps a local artist could be inspired to paint a colourful mural along that side. Our orders were quick to arrive. My special roll with tuna and salmon had a very slight off smell and aftertaste, perhaps the fish was a little old. My husband was unimpressed with his tempura, saying it was too greasy. I finished his unwanted fried rice. I felt the seasoning not as good as that used by other sushi restaurants. Our other companion made no comment about her meal. Our mochi ice cream desserts were a home run. Nicely presented with orange segments and whipped cream. I should have ordered two mango mochi desserts instead of sushi. At $75.00, the lunch was a lacklustre disappointment. We won’t go back.
