Entering the establishment you notice the lovely open floor plan. While being seated not really the most pleasant interaction with the gentleman that sat us at our table, however,the service from the waitress Stephanie was pleasant and enjoyable she redeemed that guy.. the waffles were delicious. The grits and hashbrowns took me back to the 1990’s when mom use to make them..Overall great experience..

About my 7th time here. Good food and service! Check out their desserts too!! Very good! You can tell the waitstaff knows a lot of the customers! Our meals ( shrimp and grits, fish and grits, and my Saturday special- flounder plate with mashed potatoes and fried squash was so good!! Definitely in our list for good comfort food!

Always some amazing food. Breakfast served all day long, but I was in the mood for some lasagna. It did not disappoint. So hot and smelled so good burned my tongue getting to it haha. But once I could feel my tongue again, I could taste the amazing melody of Italian flavors. My dad opted for the broiled flounder dish and he loved it. Prices are fair and service is friendly.

So to be honest I’ve been to this restaurant multiple times. Today I experienced something like I’ve never experienced before here. There was about six to seven other people in the restaurant at this time. Me and my daughter went in for a late lunch, I ordered my usual she chose chicken tips over white rice and two sides, which was $10.95. By the way, specials come with a complimentary cup of soup which she was not offered at all. The waitress was a little less than friendly and attentive to say the least. As an appetizer we ordered mozzarella sticks which we had to ask for a marinara sauce. After waiting about 20 minutes for our food to arrive, the manager brought the food to our table and my daughter quickly noticed two long black hairs that were on the side of her plate right after he placed her plate on the table. The manager meekly said I’m sorry before taking the plate away and not even asking her if she wanted something else or not even offering to comp the meal. Not like she ordered a ribeye steak, her meal was a $10.95 Tuesday special. A replacement meal, same entree was brought out to her within 7 minutes, by our waitress. The manager never even came over to ask how everything was apologized offer to take a certain percentage off, offer a free slice of pie …nothing. food was fair, service terrible. We decided we won’t be patronizing this establishment again. Sad because they are local and we have had pretty decent meals there in the past, unfortunately we will not be spending our money there anymore. Sorry Sunrise restaurant. I write real and honest reviews.
