First time trying Chance Bar tonight. Started off with the fresh oysters. They were smaller than most oysters from other places but man, they had a fresh saltiness and slid right out of the shell. Delicious! We also tried the cheese which reminded us of the times when you would melt cheese on a pan to enjoy the crispiness if it. The deviled eggs had a wonderful sweetness. The Hungarian pancake was amazing. It’s no wonder this recipe has been passed down from chef Corey’s grandmother. Corey took time to bring us out most of our dishes and explained what they were and a little background with them. It is rare to see this here in Fort Wayne. We ended our evening with the chocolate bark. It had a pleasant spice to it and paired really well with a glass of red wine. We are extremely lucky to have a place like this where the staff and chef take so much pride in their work.

10/10!! This was my second time there and my husbands 5th or 6th and everything has been perfect every time. Today we got the anchovy toast, I’m going to be thinking about that beef fat mayo for a long time haha! We also got the Hungarian potato pancake, blackened gulf shrimp, and spinach salad. Everything was absolutely amazing and the different flavor profiles in each dish were fun to try on their own but made the dish top tier having a bite with all the goodies on it. We got the spicy chocolate bark for dessert, holy moly. So good. Love having this neighborhood restaurant right down the street from us. Beer and wine only fyi, and great selections! Our server/bartender was phenomenal and took great care of us! Absolutely recommend and will definitely continue coming back!

Stopped in the other night without a reservation but was seated without any issue. We had heard a lot about this place and wanted to see what all the hype was about. We ordered the breaded mushrooms and the deviled eggs small plates to share with the table. Both items were delicious. At the table we ordered the salmon, the pork loin, the double smash burger special and the pasta. All were amazing. From the plate presentation to the taste buds….. delicious! Unfortunately nobody had room for dessert. The chef should be commended for his menu and talent. Thanks Chance Bar for a wonderful meal. Definitely worth the “Chance” if you get the opportunity!

The staff was knowledgeable and helpful in regards to what to order. The large charcuterie was full of delicious meats, pickled fruits/veggies, pimento cheese, and liver mousse. My only complaint is that we needed more for bread for all the delicious toppings. The ricotta gnocchi had a delicious, slightly spicy sauce. The burger was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. 8/10 would go again

This was our first time here. My wife, adult son, and I all loved it. The Cesar salad is fantastic! We had 3 different entrees and all 3 were delicious. Service was very good, polite and helpful. It’s only beer and wine and we would have liked a mixed drink but the food more than made up for that. Highly recommend. We’ll be back.

This is a small restaurant located about four blocks from a friend’s house where I am currently visiting, a neighborhood restaurant. From the outside you’d never guess what culinary delights await you inside of this nondescript building.

I am not exaggerating when I say this was the best meal I have ever consumed. The hand cut fettuccini was phenomenal, slightly sweet from the peppers with a little tang from the cheese . My husband had the burger that was on special and it was SO full of flavor. Then to top it off we had the bread pudding for dessert .. all I can say is wow! I can’t wait to go back to try more!

We visited for the first time, and they did not disappoint. We had a few appetizers, the chicken liver mousse and the beet salad, they both were very flavorful. Then we all had the special, a bacon double smash burger, OMG! Everything about that burger had so much flavor it was delicious, it came with potatoes and a Miller lite all for $16. We had the bread pudding, which was ok, we didn’t like the salted caramel sauce, it tasted burnt we suggested not putting that on. Overall everything was pretty amazing, I would recommend this place!! Locally owned a plus.

Very nice place. It looks deceptively small on the outside. But inside we found a nice atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious food. We plan on going back for more. I can highly recommend the double bacon cheese burger. Just be prepared to visit the nicely kept restroom to wash your hands because there is no non-messy way to eat it. LOL. The only downside to my meal was how salty the onion rings were. Apart from the saltiness, I think it would have been a great beer batter.
