Some of the best German food I’ve had. Ordered the Zegeuner Schnitzel with German potato salad, red cabbage and Spezi. The schnitzel was crisp, fresh, and moist. The sauce had good flavor and the whole thing was cooked perfect.

You won’t be disappointed!! The food is absolutely delicious, the menu is nice and small and focused on authentic German cuisine. Seating is very limited though, but there is nothing wrong about ordering and picking up if you want great food. It is amazing to experience the family passion and pride in service too.

The homemade sausages were to die for as my hubby usually cuts off the skin but he ate the whole sausage. Friendly atmosphere where the staff made you feel like family. They were very attentive and graciously gave my parents a slice of heavenly cake for their 50th wedding anniversary. We enjoyed yummy food that made our hearts happy and our tummies full for a memorable time! Thank you for making it special!!

Best German schnitzel in the Ft. Hood area. Everything that makes a Wiener schnitzel, the pounding of the pork behind the kitchen doors to the slices of lemon when served, brought back many happy memories of my time in Bavaria. We really enjoyed our meal! The bonus was the real homemade German ketchup with extra curry!

Came here for the first time with my wife. 1/28/2023. I’m originally from Louisiana and I’ve tried many foods around here. By far this is the best food I’ve eaten out here. It was so good. The portions were amazing! The service was amazing. This is definitely me & my wife’s new favorite place to eat & dine…… I cannot say enough… Words cannot explain.

This is the best German Food I had in a long time, better than Fredericksburg! This Gem is located in Harker Heights Texas and is delicious! Worth the drive. We went hiking at Dana Peak Park along the lake and saw the yellow building with Opa’s Schnitzel Hut and of course had to check it out. The friendly waitress explained that the owner makes everything from scratch – from pounding out the meat to making her own bread crumbs for the schnitzel breading. The gravy, the cabbage, the spätzle and more all from scratch. This makes all the difference. I can’t wait to go back and have a Bratwurst (homemade). The only thing missing was a tall glass of German Beer. ( B.Y.O.B $1.00 per person). They even had a cute story on the back of the menu about how the owner got started. Best Day Ever! Hiking with my 82 year old mother 6 miles and enjoying an authentic German meal. I know because my mother is German and she knows her German food (smile).

This place is bar none, the best place for truly authentic German schnitzel! It is absolutely amazing. I always get the Jaegerschnitzel, spaetzl with gravy and amazing cucumber salad! Wow, so good! Don’t forget the light and fluffy cheesecake that is like nothing you’ve ever had. Also a bonus…it is BYOB! Show up at 4pm, you WILL NOT be disappointed.
